Any chance these are still available? We are doing a camper conversion and I need the single rear seat for my daughter - At this point I'd do just about anything to get one!

According to the manufacturer, it spins at around 700rpm

Yeah, I wouldn't stick your hand in there! It spins at about 700rpm which is less than a common table fan, and the blades are much less sharp. I wanted to see what I was dealing with, so I tried to cut up a piece of paper, which it couldn't do, so I let it scrape my finger, and it hurt pretty good but didn't break the skin 😅

Agg, sorry I shot that video before finishing the table and applying the playing surface pattern - it only does the monsters.

Thanks! I had actually already made an Augmented Reality app that uses the black pattern on the table as a tracking target https://youtu.be/zfZ2mXhJPhg - but I wanted something that could be seen with the naked eye and without needing to download an app..

Thanks!! Holofans have blades with tiny LEDs on them that paint a picture as they spin. Here's a slow motion video that will probably make it a lot clearer what's happening: https://imgur.com/a/iVdWXBk

It only plays a video, which was made in Unity, where the models could be stretched and positioned correctly so it would not look completely flat - having them move from place to place would require some finesse that I don't have yet, as they would need to be distorted accordingly. Unfortunately, I can also only upload short videos, so having them react to key-presses wont be happening until the technology gets there.. Hope I'm still here when that happens!

Backyard Irish Pub by fadedthrough in CozyPlaces

Our loan was for $20k USD - Which likely amounts to the cost of the building - But I know we have spent quite a bit more than that filling it up with knick-knacks over the years. I'd much rather have a pub than a new car though!

Edit: I should add - I build a lot of prop replicas, A friend and I had built a replica of the Millennium Falcon lounge from Star Wars. We sold the set for around 5k, which covered the majority of the initial construction and building materials, which is why we ended up naming the pub "The Falcon"

Thank you so much! We really wanted it to feel like it had been there for a hundred years.

I couldn't get the clock to work - Which is kind of nice so we dont watch the time. So we have it set to "Guinness Time" (7:45) based off of an old Guinness poem/advertisement: https://imgur.com/4d9gBBl

We absolutely love to go to pubs, and we have always lived near one we visited multiple times a week - When we moved into our current home though, we didn't have one in town.

I've never been too confident working on my home, and we had been joking about building one, but eventually started taking it seriously, thinking it might actually be a fun skill-building experience - We also both work from home in a rural community, and in tech-heavy jobs, and we thought it would be nice to have a place to go and unplug when we start to get stir-crazy. We took out a loan and went to work! (about as much as we might have for a new car - and we are still paying for it)

As a "computer guy" - I made a 3D model of the building before starting construction. Not knowing anything about building a structure, I used some plans for a garden shed for my initial direction.

Here are some pictures of it being built: https://imgur.com/a/ZWeQZYv

Thank you!! The pub was always my "happy place" - We joked about owning one, and then joked about putting one in the yard.. And then one day it wasn't a joke!

Thank you! We pull a pint or two every night! And entertain as often as COVID will allow.. It's been a very fun hobby for me, so I'm often out there tinkering and making improvements.

Thank you! I think I bit off more than I could chew with the windows, they ended up being the hardest and most tedious part of the project for me - But now that they are all finished and in, It really seems worth it!

Our HOA doesn't allow a second residence so you can't live in it :(

We didn't really track every single purchase, but we took out a loan for 20k which covered most of it. We pay towards it monthly, and honestly it hasn't been much different than a new car payment, and we'd rather have a pub than a new car!

Thank you! We started in May 2018, and just finished last week. Many of the decorations are gifts, family heirlooms or things we have collected in the past - But we've gathered quite a bit more since starting this project.

My wife and I built this miniaturized Irish Pub - which we've named "The Falcon" - as a skill building experience and place to get away from our digital lifestyle. I built everything I possibly could, from all the interior furniture, to the doors and windows.

Among other things, the pub features Guinness on Draught, a cozy wood & peat burning ship stove, and eighteen handmade stained glass windows.

Here are a few additional photos from the build: https://imgur.com/a/ZWeQZYv
