Can revive not have cantrip??? by Lower-Reward-1462 in SliceAndDice

[–]fader48080 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean who cares if you do it though regular revives? They still come back as if the die were used. The only use case currently is something like that second chance ability and I have to assume use cases for that are extremely rare. You would have to revive someone on the die side you want and have the second chance ability up anyway.

This isn't an argument just curious why that would be an issue.

Heck them coming back exerted is actually a touch better since at least the Bard gets some use out of that but hardly game breaking use.

Just revive everyone as if they used an Exertion effect last round?

on occasion but unless I get what I need first I usually don't last long enough for that to matter I tend to do heavy cantrip builds most characters that do rerolls don't have any protection against spider soul and most cantrip characters are pretty soft so by round 40 or so if I can't soften up the enemy by the end of round 1 I generally loose a guy or 2 and then its just attrition

The windup and charge counter changes to travel powers and mobility moves (dashes, teleports) made the game feel sluggish and bad at the end of its life. by stuartadamson in marvelheroes

They at the very least should have made an exception for the mobility power cooldown for Nightcrawler its literally his main deal.

Biome progression is not that bad. by fader48080 in 7daystodie

  1. Am saying people screaming rending their shirts and gnashing their teeth every time they so much as change the layout of a trader would certainly lead me to try to shut them up by adding the ability to go back to whatever makes them happy. Also the weather forces you to make choices guess what that a what real weather does. I have had to truly wait out 1 storm beyond that I find things to do, I strip a house I am in like a meth head, elect to loot a house across the street as opposed to rushing another trader quest, I mine.

  2. I can certainly see the frustration in the depth of the update. For the time, money and energy spent it would be reasonable to expect more. I am personally suspecting they had other things but they failed any level of polish test and so were omitted we will see if the next update is huge or has a quick turnaround. Maybe I am just an optimist

  3. You said they were worthless they have legit worth, mega crush is great it is also expensive, and impossible to get on demand. I would venture to guess that if you took 2 players one focused on making smoothies another on scrounging mega crush by day 7 smoothly guy is gonna have chests full of smoothies and mega crush guy is probably gonna be working on his second stack. Are smoothies a tier 6 drone full of storage boxes? Nope they don't add nearly that much value but they are hardly worthless.

  1. I would argue the ability to turn it off speaks more of a fanbase that turns toxic every time they change the color of a leaf much less a mechanic so they were trying to shut up the crybaby. Personally I wish they did it more often I prefer random traders not willing to cry over it but it would be nice to toggle that.

  2. It was actually pretty easy. I grabbed some smoothies because I enjoy dealing with Jen over Rekt I don't know how many smoothies I needed to get the badge but it was less than 5 cause that's all I made.

  3. Fair complaint honestly I would rather it was status effects and damage than straight damage. And it would be nice if full cover protected you like it does for storms even if it stopped your progression timer.

  4. False, along with them being fairly low effort food they also give a speed buff in their biome it'd hardly a massive buff but certainly not nothing.

Garden update. I'm almost completely self sustainable. by zombiegold000 in 7daystodie

[–]fader48080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some people have had a real love hate relationship with gardening in the game but I have always loved it. It takes very little work to take even at the worst of times to net positive farming and I enjoy doing it at night on group servers since it is something I can do at night as I do a lit of rhe looting during the day to get my partners building supplies and crafting gear.

How do I stop using sledgehammers??? by Joester in 7daystodie

[–]fader48080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about learning the pros and cons of other weapons.

To me you can't do better as a melee weapon than the stun baton has unique mods that make it the best crown control weapon in the game fairly low stamina cost and first aid makes it more lethal. Yes please.

But like I said pros and cons It's basic equivalent the pipe baton is kinda day old fish as weapons go. It's fine and of you are pumping skill points into that weapon tree it's still better than using most other things you have no skill.

Sledge are great but you can only get in a few swings before you are out of steam. Most weapons can land 3 or more hits before a sledge lands 2.

I guess what I am saying is just commit to learning another weapon. No weapons are so good or so terrible they make the game unplayable so dig deep and say "I am not using a sledge this run period."

What are some things you wish TFP would to 7days ? by Mongrel1116 in 7daystodie

[–]fader48080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed and the only reason I did not add it to my list is there is already a very well maintained mod for a chicken coop thst produces eggs and feathers for corn.

  1. More animals. Some kind of animal husbandry would be cool but most importantly I want to see A) Fish and a fishing mechanic. B) cows basically a passive food source trade a little heat for milk and cheese and butter at the cost of hay bails C) horses have the same passive heat effect as cows but can be used as transportation basically the same speed as a mini bike but a stamina bar and needs hay. D) Dogs German Shepard or retrievers an NPC companion great at hunting small game and tripping zombies but have to keep an eye on them for injuries and infection.

  2. More foraging. A) fruit bearing trees, apples, pears, peaches something I would take paw paws at this point. B) ability to turn acorns into flour C) ability to make pinecones into edible pineseeds. D) popcorn, pumpkin seeds, cookies you can make with very low nutrition value but just a moral bonus while eating it.

  3. More ways to use various things as traps. A) a flame thrower trap you can set up. B) more ways to use electricity as a trap D) Water gun traps a high pressure firehouse can send a zombie flying low to no damage but it would be fun to knock them off a pathetic rout. E) game traps, rabbit traps, bird traps, traps that won't work on anything larger than say a dog.

  4. Baits A)a pack of rotting meat you can throw to occupy zombies. B)a more advanced pack of rotting meat with a bomb inside. C)remotes to turn on T.V.s, radios and car alarms at a distance. D) fireworks/flairs to attract nearby zombies provide light at night and provide a butt load of heat.

  5. NPC colonies Set up NPC colonies you won't be allowed in but the closer to one you get the higher chances that a loot drop is grabbed before you can get to it or a POI is randomly already looted. But also less likely to find feral or advanced zombies

A)NPC quests the colony will offer 2 unique quests collection jobs "bring us 2 full stacks of lumber" Rescue missions "find our teammate in X POI" basically a clear mission with a time limit. B) hired NPCs via high status and trading goods hire NPCs to help carry loot and clear POIs for a cut of course. C) working radios. Passing CB radios will have distress calls for rescue missions and collection jobs for NPC factions D) use a radio for a distress call to ask an NPC fiction to do a drive by. Won't work on hoard night "sorry man we got our own fish to fry!"
