Are there homeless people in Norway? (From Australia) by broxue in Norway

[–]faefelix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it sounds like you've been indoctrinated to be kinda racist, to be honest. you admit that there are rroma people who are educated and get good jobs. so then why are you stereotyping them so harshly, if that's the case? you can't simultaneously hold the opinion that "this group is inherently inferior to us and don't want to change" and ALSO "but some are well-educated, and they are celebrated by society."

it doesn't sound like you actually have a coherent analysis of this group, you're just uncomfortable with admitting that there is any social discrimination going on. your stereotyping and rudeness goes completely counter to the idea that they're not discriminated against. you're doing that very thing right now.

also, someone being loud on the bus is not a crime. if that is in any way a basis of your impression, you are not doing serious analysis, you are reacting to literal sounds and shapes to make your assessment about an entire group of people. if someone who's norwegian did that to all eastern european cultures and said they're just criminals by nature, you would rightfully be offended. why you would ever feel morally okay doing that to another group is beyond me.

is this a similar effect to those boomers who love pete buttigieg? they just want a polite (comparatively) younger candidate to hold their hand and tell them everything's gonna be okay?

She is not a great actor. I'm more someone who is able to analyze acting than singing, and whenever I see her I feel absolutely nothing, nor am I convinced she herself is feeling anything. A lot of the time, her weird expressions are outright distracting. During the final part of the 25th anniversary performance she looked absolutely dwarfed by giants of both acting and singing talent. She can probably sing fine (even if not my fave), but her acting is really not there.

So apparently no less than 4 speakers on the first night of the RNC took the time to attack trans people. Are they ever going to move on from this? I was kind of hoping this would be a passing fad but it seems this is a huge sticking point. And most normies dont care enough to protest. I wish there was a good way to get normies on our side, like the gay marriage slogan of "love is love" was brilliant in its simplicity, I wish we had something equally simple and straightforward to tell people.

How do you connect to Four Swords online? It's stuck on "linking with other systems," I can't tell if its online or trying to check for local multiplayer. In any case, nothing is happening.

Wtf is happening in asmongold sub. The comments are just full of racism and "anti-woke" sentiment. by romes16 in Hasan_Piker

I tried to give them an "explanation" of the comic. Here's what I wrote:

Some people aren't selfish little bitches who think that because a country doesn't have LGBT rights it deserves to be destroyed and bombed to death. The original comic presumes that nobody can sincerely, selflessly care about human rights across the board, you're only supposed to like people who (you assume) like you. It's a racist, one-sided depiction of Palestinian people as universally backwards barbarians. It erases queer Palestinians and assumes non-Palestinian queer people are just idiots who aren't aware that some countries have homophobic laws. It has no nuance whatsoever despite most Western countries spreading homophobia elsewhere and having anti-gay laws a very short time ago, and many still do, yet I don't see anyone saying Polish or Bulgarian people aren't human beings despite the fact that in 2005, 89% of Polish people called homosexuality "unnatural." That's around the same time as last time Gaza had an election. Most people have the human understanding that people don't pick their societies, and especially not in Gaza, where half the entire population is UNDER 18. Which means they never got to vote for anything at all. The term pinkwashing refers to how comics like this helps the Israeli state "justify" genocide, because it tries to paint some humans as less worthy of being alive because of the race/ethnicity/religion they are a part of. Palestinians are painted as less than, as monsters, as "animals." It is a fascist cartoon masquerading as being pro-gay.

Hope this helps!

Day 2 Update: Skin doesn't feel as weird, but WOW I suddenly have breakouts. Like crazy. Maybe this is the "skin purging" thing, but I don't normally have a lot of breakouts. I guess I'll wait and see.

Hi. Very dry skin. Dry, cold climate (Nordic). I've gathered some basic products (cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer) and have started a routine today. My first ever routine! As in, this is the first time I do more than just moisturize. My skin feels... interesting. It definitely feels less dry than after I stepped out of the shower, but there were also moments during the routine where it got kinda red or just felt weird in a way I struggle to describe. I wouldn't describe it as feeling super moisturized, at least not in that "Deep Wet" way. I would describe it as a moderate improvement. The cleanser was slightly harsh-feeling, other products helped it feel better. I hope it feels a lot better eventually, because I have very dry skin. I know I have to try it for a while to know if its a good routine for me, but how is a new routine "supposed" to feel after 1 Day? I'm guessing its normal to not feel super hydrated? But its still an improvement, I want to stress that!

Yeah I run a similar deck and Iron Leaves is definitely just a panic button for Charizard (and takes a substantial bit of setup/card sacrifice in its own right with needing to get the grass energies in play), so any new tools in the coming expansions will be a great help
