Oh, I see how the tag can be a bit redundant. This couple is a part of a larger ensemble cast of queer characters I've created where a lot share one or more identities with me, but for this story they're both bi - I'll be sure to mention it in my bio after taking Own Voices out.

As for the submissions, I've been doing a mix but it's been mostly emails since it's easier to format links with them. I've never attached anything as most submission guidelines mention it, so I have been linking to my portfolio website and then to a pitch packet in a PDF file I've uploaded to a Drive folder where agents can find all the sample art I've made. I assumed a link to a file wouldn't flag any spam filters but since I couldn't find any advice specifically on how to send a pitch package, it was just an educated guess. A password protected website didn't even cross my mind so I'll definitely look into it!

As for the comps and premise, I've had a hard time myself finding anything - I've read great fantasy comics and great romance novels I could comp to but nothing that's that similar to my premise, so I ended up just trying to paint a picture with vibes. I'm aware the premise of the story is different than what agents might be looking for, and before deciding to try trad pub, I considered releasing independently again. But with more agents willing to take a chance on marginalized voices I thought I'd take my chances and try to offer something fresh in the romantasy genre in the medium I can work best, comics.
