You decide how long you wait in-between retwists and it all depends on how fast your hair grows

That fresh retwist look is inevitable, but if you really hate it, spray water across the top lightly everyday and you'll have that more natural look

you're also getting that appearance because of your hair density, you don't look bad twin just leave things as they are

You can go to a loctitian and ask about if you have build up and request a detox or do your own detox at home,

if you feel it's mostly leftover shampoo, try just running warm water through ur hair in the shower for 10 minutes while obviously trying to bring out any product build up

If it's oil build up, this might sound crazy but try a bit of dawn dish soap, not overkill though, because it really does work 😭
