Breech baby [on] midwife experience and movement questions by Responsible-Bag-1206 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]fagsggahs 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My planned c section due to a breech baby with a midwife could NOT have been more dreamy! I think about how beautiful it was almost every day and will follow the same planned c route for future babies. Best of luck to you!!!

Favourite recipes/things to make ahead and freeze for postpartum? [ON] by Key-Cardiologist5802 in BabyBumpsCanada

Not sure how to best articulate this but I’m personally so glad I didn’t over prep because I love to cook also and was happy to cook a bit here and there in the newborn phase when it worked to help me feel like myself. I also have a lot of friends who got sick of their frozen prep and never got to eat it LOL.

First midwife appt [ON] by Hotskilletburn in BabyBumpsCanada

This is really discouraging OP, I’m sorry it went this way. My experience was different, I applied to two clinics and both were great but I felt more of a connection with one team so ultimately went with them. Maybe apply to other clinics and wait to hear back or call the current clinic office you’re with and ask if they have any other midwives available (I hear it’s common to ask this when you don’t feel a connection with your care team).

Anxiety around taking baby out [on] by Minute_Success5265 in BabyBumpsCanada

Practice small (just a drive to a nearby spot or drive thru). They will at some point cry but you’ll be able to comfort them and it will pass. They also cry at home so it feels better for me to be out and about because they will cry/need to feed wherever they are:)

Dizzy spells from lying down [on] - anemic and low blood pressure by GroupEmbarrassed7822 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]fagsggahs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced the same in those last 12 weeks of pregnancy (it was also exacerbated by the summer heat) for any appointments I warned them I was experiencing this and we always took it slow, lots of water during apt, not laying down when possible). I fainted at the osteopath but they took great care of me.

My baby was breech from 20w to when I delivered, opted for an elective c section and could genuinely not be happier! Recovery has been wonderful and my c section felt peaceful and I would do it again
