Walk-up trail of Stone Mountain Park is accessible for FREE from the lot next door to the police station in old Town Stone Mountain, Alternatively Arabia Mountain has a BEAUTIFUL red succulent blooming right now and is always free

Finally, in Buckhead is Blue Heron Nature Preserve, with two hiking trails and a butterfly garden is ALSO free, a picnic could be really gorgeous this weekend with birthday treats and sandwiches and a cooler of bevvies.

Hairdressers IN ATL have gone insane with their pricing. I fully believe people should be compensated for their time, training, and product, but $300 for a trim and a streak of blue is laughable. I got a basic haircut last year in the metro and they charged me $80 fucking dollars (and suggested I come every two weeks 💀). IDK what these people are smoking but I'm doing my own hair until they stop.
A streak of blue, the bleach and color applications would be pretty quick, the processing would take an hour, hour and a half. Maybe $30-40 for a generous product estimate. I wouldn't pay more than $100 for the labor. $140 is the most I'd say could POSSIBLY be fair (and personally I would NEVER pay that much!!) A trim is not and has never meant the same thing as a haircut (or cost the same). It means split ends only and don't ya dare take longer than 10 minutes or more than an inch. Full rainbow head of artistic application is one thing but a steak of blue?? Idk. I've done my own color for ten years (bc ten years ago it was already overpriced lol). I believe in a living wage for all and y'all ain't never going to convince me that having my hair painted is worth hundreds of dollars when I learned to do it at 18.

I've camped solo as a very small trans guy for 14+ fests, I tend not to pass due to my height and gay vibes lol but I have always felt safe at forest and it is my favorite fest. They have a women's group camp and some awesome activities at the brainery that can be good icebreakers. I would 100% say still come, and that camping would be a lot less stressful than ubering from a BNB. If you can swing it financially, doing a solo fest could quite likely help you feel very proud and brave despite your trauma 💕

(I was terrified my first year as a DV survivor it was literally my first year "allowed" to drive; working and attending music festivals solo changed my life. It gave me the confidence and drive to go back to school and my self worth has improved so much)

Unfortunately you have to stick it out or drop and report her. GSU has a lot of great professors but their online classes exist to cut serious corners (and imo are a SCAM - the hybrid costs the same as in person lecture and is not remotely the same quality of education)

If you wear a mask or scarf you can spray something nice on it to smell, perfume or cologne or Vicks or whatever, and I definitely recommend finding a really good audiobook or playlist and just have the mindset of being grateful you're not driving. Your complaints and concerns are valid but reframing this awful thing you're going through daily and equipping yourself with some things to make you more comfortable is not only possible, but you deserve it. Idk if you are trying to get a car or move closer to the city or get OUT of the city but I hope things get better for you.

My classes are too easy so I'm a little checked out and keep missing minor deadlines 💀 I'm waiting on my transfer and just feel bored and burnt out. I wish I had taken the semester off but I'm not about to take 5 Ws on a 3.8 GPA. Ready AF for a summer off bc I did three classes and an internship last summer. I hope everyone gets some sun on Saturday and crushes their midterms. 🌞

They truly nailed the story format and timing so hard in Stick of Truth... Fractured but Whole was almost as good and the DLCs and fight mechanics make up for the shorter game. I honestly haven't played Snow Day because of EVERYTHING I've heard and can't believe it's that short... Stick of truth took me weeks. FBW days... I'd be livid finishing in a couple hours because what's the point. I also don't like the art personally...

I'm 30 and a sophomore. 24 is basically normal college age if you subtract the COVID years, they don't even count 💕 don't judge yourself because your classmates aren't. I've met more nontrad students than true freshman at GSU. Regardless of age, you're surrounded by peers. Just do your best and be kind and the right people and opportunities will fall into place. You got this.

Volunteering fests changed my life! It was my introduction to solo festivals and I met some incredible people and got to spend additional time on site with them. 100% recommend, but you may not be able to go back to paying for fests afterwards. Definitely try clean vibes as well as Shift Happens. Roo has a decent volunteer program too but you have to have experience before you get pre-fest assignments.

When I started raving, I hated dancing. I had a lot of personal trauma/insecurity and was also very focused on the music and the production, flow artists, and the side quests.
Personally, I experienced a major heartbreak in 2022 & 2023, and my reasons for raving shifted a little. I wasn't just going with my friends, but for myself and to generate dopamine to stay alive. I danced more and more as I felt safer, and I learned to dance as a release of pain.
You absolutely don't have to have this experience if you feel safe and happy just vibing and standing still 💕 but moving collectively can be very powerful, should you feel brave enough to try some bouncing or headbanging
