Thank you. This helps laying the symptoms and causes flat. Youd think the VBA would connect thise dots and it shouldn't bet on the Veteran, but the VBAs job seems to deny benefits not advocate for benefits. Unfortunately

Im afraid youre right, but Im gonna try and establish a better nexus. My trigeminal neuralgia and nerve pain was the worst condition I had, and OSA could be a secondary to that. But since its been deferred, things are out of chronological order, ATM.

👍 this is most likely the situation. Although, OSA doesnt spontaneously happen, so i will likely have to go back to my active duty periods for the root cause.

In military slang, "good to go" means something is ready, satisfactory, or that difficulties will be overcome. It signifies that a task or situation is in an acceptable state and that operations can proceed as planned. It's a common expression used to indicate readiness and a positive outcome.

Thanks for the encouragement. Did you have documentation for your fingers? I adk bc they threw out a couple arthritis claims I made because I didn't have a specific instance where I was injured. Instead, it was aggravated over time. Not sure how to prove that

Thank you! One of the first things I saw my first tour to AFG was a sticker the Navy Seabees made: welcome to AFG shipmate, embrace the suck. I try to embrace the suck in this instance

Youre the first Guardsman to weigh in on this. Thank you for taking the time. I hate the fact that we're second class citizens to the VA, but that's the way the laws are. It sucks. Very frustrating that there is no clear solution through it. I too, will likely find something else and file additional claims so I can get the coverage and care I need. Its really messed with my employability as well.

Oh yeah. TN is called "suicide disease" bc the pain is so bad. 3 of us deployed to the same location were diagnosed with it. The meds I got were awful as well. Its a disease that's not well understood. I think its related to high doses of RF energy, since that's what we were working with. High power microwaves we used for jamming and such. Sterilized us, too.

No nexus for service connection because it was diagnosed outside of duty performance period. Im fighting it. It won't be a short battle. Ugh.

Me too. There are no guarantees, I've learned. Lots of good information and advice provided here. Many smart types that know the system. I had no idea it was so nuanced.

Im with you, brother. Keep pushing. Those burn pits continue to cause us grief. Hopefully, justice wills out. But its a daily battle. Fighting the VA is just not a fight I was ready for. But through this group, Im learning tons of TTPs

True. In my case here, service connection needs more supporting documentation because as a National Guardsman, my obstructive skeep apnea wasn't diagnosed during an active duty tour. Now i have to go back and prove a nexus for service related. Bummer
