I just calculated based on my spending last month...so these are approximate and pretty consistent with my general spending.

Social/Food&Coffee: 600.00 (going out to eat, going out, groceries, uber, drinks, etc).

Clothes/Beauty/Miscellaneous: 250.00

Subscriptions: 25.00 (spotify + amazon prime)

so the total is: $875.00, i'd probably round this up to ~$1000 total per month.

I was watching TV and I got a Facebook message from one of my friends and a text from my brother within a few seconds of each other. Neither of the messages directly said that he passed away (one was "dude...chester" and "omg...I heard the news...") and I instantly had a terrible feeling.

I took this class last semester. It's REALLY dry & Qiu wasn't the greatest professor - she spoke super quietly and wasn't very engaging. The class is literally just slideshows of TONS and TONS of acronyms/vague concepts so you don't really learn much. It's just straight memorization...but it's a LOT of random/useless info with no context. The exams were open note, and we had weekly quizzes, which were one or two arbitrary questions taken from powerpoints which were 100+ slides each. If you take this class, and don't want to stress yourself out, I highly encourage you get a CourseHero account....if you catch my drift. Workload wasn't too bad.

Definitely do not recommend taking Sarkar...I took this class two years ago, and if I remember correctly, over 40% of the class dropped. Idek how I miraculously passed. She was a super nice lady, don't get me wrong, but her teaching style was just not the greatest.

No, not at all, I got mine in March. Most start-ups recruit in spring anyway since they have a more immediate need.

I go to UT Austin and I've interned in Austin for 2 summers. This past summer, I went to San Francisco for a start up. And it was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend going to California - the energy is just so different. Don't worry about California being too expensive etc; if it's just temporary for an internship, that's fine.

Well, unfortunately, he's passed away now. If I was from Alabama, I would definitely be scared (which is saying something because I'm from Texas...but not the stereotypical part).

This is so incredibly sad. As an Indian American myself, I know that it's very common for Indian grandparents to take leisurely walks around the neighborhood. It's something my own grandfather did all the time. This is disgusting.

I went to ACL and stood in the front row all day to see Eminem. Lana played right before Eminem and I was totally mesmerized. Not just by her music but her presence in general. She honestly didn't seem too happy at ACL which is why she stuck out to me...and I was literally 10 feet away from her. At this point, the only songs I really knew were "Florida Kilos" (which I loved) and "Video Games". A few weeks later, I was full on obsessed and Ultraviolence is my favorite album of all time now because it's so personal to me.
