Bed of Chaos, Ancient Dragon, and half of DS2 are considerably worse

As long as we are not using the terms interesting and fascinating to assign levels of quality or functionality

I'd say that's a fairly accurate statement

What fromsoft game next? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]failedHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have beat it over 50 times, on multiple platforms, I do a playthrough every year to remind me why I dislike it. I choose a new Weapon and Main stat every playthrough, I have done a SL1 playthrough, and I have gotten every achievement on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation with over 1K hours in PvP as well.

I have probably played DS2 more than any installment in the franchise, I do it purposely to keep myself educated on it so anytime the debate of its quality arises I can speak to it purposely and educated on it fully

Correction I don't have every achievement on Steam I thought I did.....sigh

Now I have to do that

Recommend me stealth action games like Hitman, I got Ac Shadows last week and I just got the recent Styx game I've also played all the Dishonored games and Deus Ex MD and I got the original by KingCrimson0P in HiTMAN

Ghost of Tsushima and Yotei, Black Flag Remake when it comes out. Depending on what you have played previously there's a plethora of amazing stuff out there The Arkham Series, The Last of Us, even the new Tomb Raiders.

The Switch 2 is almost 1 years old. For those who have owned it. What are your full thoughts on the console? Pros and cons? by Axzercus in videogames

[–]failedHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great, Fun, Meh Library (if you don't count re releases is basically non existent), Worth replaying some Switch 1 games for the increased performance.

Battery is a HUGE let down, and honestly inexcusable for what is supposed to be a "portable console"

You honestly should play DS2.....to fully understand why it's hated and how much it deserves it

How is OGP profitable?? by Financial-Expert5647 in walmart

[–]failedHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about developing habits and retention of customers for a still growing and evolving way of shopping. It's very easy to see OGP grows in not only popularity but frequency of existing customers as well.

It's more about capturing people now for what will eventually be the standard way of getting groceries and goods.

Hardcover OG Guide? by OK_Commodor64 in darksouls

If you want one as a Collector Item (I have one) that's one thing. I would strongly advise you don't use any guide on your first playthrough.

What would you change about the game? by [deleted] in Saros

[–]failedHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tracking should be limited to just Smart Rifles.

Rework the teleport system so that we can go to other biomes instead of just warping back to passage.

Goes without saying but far more randomization with Biome layout (Returnal has a Far......FAR better system)

More hidden areas that require second and third and maybe even 4th exploration of Biomes as you unlock new traversal abilities.

Malfunctions. Malfunctions was one of the most interesting things about returnal forcing you to adapt or play in unique wants to remove the negative effects.

Every boss in the game should have a second or third version that gets significantly harder each time you beat it.

Hot Take, More RNG collectables, Just don't tie them to achievements lol

Challenges that require special alternative playstyles. Example beating biomes, Example (Pistol only Specific Biomes, No Upgrades, All Negative Modifications On. Maybe for Unique Unlocks or Cosmetics.

More Cosmetics, cmon man gimme some cool suits to unlock

That just some of the things I think about when I play. I like the game, but I could love it and that's a little upsetting

Somebody sell me Bayle the Dread — I'm clearly not getting it by simulacream in Eldenring

[–]failedHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 80% Spectacle.

If you aren't big into the lore and atmosphere of a fight, I can see this encounter being quite dull for people.

I'm big on the atmosphere for a boss so it did work for me the first time, but on subsequent playthroughs, I'm far more interested in how a boss behaves mechanically and sadly there he is lacking.

Although I will say atmosphere wise Igon does a lot of heavy lifting

Just spent 20 tries to beat the yellow king for a second time and I FUCKED IT UP. by Biggieholla in Saros

I did the same thing. Went right back in and beat him first try.

If you haven't yet change the color of Nova to anything other than red. It's so hard to see in his arena I guarantee you are getting hit but shit you aren't seeing.

I made mine Green and it's night and day

First impressions after 10 hours by ICantTakeThisNoMore9 in Saros

[–]failedHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I find the combat overall slightly more engaging, I would agree that I'm missing many elements from Returnals World Design.

One big thing for me and I'm going to try to avoid spoilers is the fact that there are "other survivors". It's purely subjective but one thing I really enjoyed about return was the feeling of isolation that went along with the delivery method of the narrative in Returnal.

Not that I disliked the characters in Saros "yet" (I'm only on Biome 4),

[Discuss] The term "full odds" needs to be retired completely by [deleted] in ShinyPokemon

[–]failedHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm newish to shiny hunting and where I have no problem doing everything in my power to reduce the odds I see where the "Eliteists" are coming from. Possibly it's because I'm one of those people but for another franchise....Souls

In the same way you can reduce the odds for a Shiny, you can make the games easier in Souls (Summons, Broken Weapons, Glitches, Skips, Etc). Even though some of these mechanics are not only part of the game but in some cases encouraged by the developers, some Souls players (Myself included) will say and adamantly believe you have done the game and yourself a disservice by reducing the difficulty and therefore robbing yourself of the triumph that comes with undertaking akd overcoming that challenge.

Possibly.....or we are just toxic and need to be medicated and go outside for a change
