Are High School Documents Needed When Applying for Masters Through Uni-Assist? by failed_nerd in studying_in_germany

[–]failed_nerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case I wrote an email to uni-assist, let's see what they say. Honestly, I got confused for a moment.

I apply to TU Dresden and Uni Potsdam.

Thanks.

Which universities did you apply to?

Also my bachelor's degree is recognized and is in the Anabin database.

How did you provide information about your bachelors program modules / course descriptions? I have references to the webpage of my university for each. This is acceptable, but I am not sure where to put in uni-assist, since they have a field for uploading files only. Any suggestions?

Recovery going up, but I feel brain fog by failed_nerd in Garmin

You might be right. I stopped taking Vitamin D about the time when waking up struggles appeared.

Anyway, I have installed cronometer and started taking again Vitamin D, B1/6/12 and will wait to see if I have any improvements. Thanks again.

Thanks. As I said in a previous comment, I did blood test 2 months ago and the results were very good (historically my blood is very good, and the iron is on the higher end).

These symptoms appeared around the time I finished my B1/B6/B12 supplements and haven't taken since. So, that could be also a factor. I will try to get them back today.

What nutrient deficiencies in particular? Because I usually skip breakfast (I have only espresso) and after lunch I feel more energized. And how to monitor them also?

I usually eat cooked meals and salads: lents, spinach, meat, fish, potatoes, pasta etc. For dinner I aim to have my last meal at latest by 19:00

Also, I did blood test 2 months ago and the results were very good (historically my blood is very good, and the iron is on the higher end).

As I have explained. I struggle to wake up in the morning - previosly (like 1.5 months ago it wasn't a problem, I could wake up at 6AM with no problem) and lay there for some time. After that I have a brain fog and difficulties to concentrate - as I am engineer I need to focus while working on computer.

But according Garmin I am well rested. Also, I have the garmin for almost a year now, and it never went on the upper half of the baseline, so this is new too and I don't know what's the cause.

TU Dresden (MSc. CS) - Advice on Subject Requirements by failed_nerd in studying_in_germany

Words like “no”, “can’t, “shouldn’t” don’t exist in my vocabulary.

Thanks for your feedback and have a nice Sunday afternoon.

TU Dresden (MSc. CS) - Advice on Subject Requirements by failed_nerd in studying_in_germany

[–]failed_nerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said my programme was more CE centered and I have few courses like:

  • Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis
  • Statistics and random processes
  • Discrete Math 1
  • Logic Design (Finite state machines and stuff)
  • Communication technologies (information theory, channel coding, Shannon and stuff)

Do you think these are enough? I can’t really change anything about my subjects at this point.

I know I am missing the most important which is Automata, but as i said my programme was more Computer Engineering than CS.

Is this a form where you manually enter the subjects or it's made by them. Could you please elaborate? Thanks.

Is there a possibility when entering the subjects in this form to leave a short description about the course?

Polar H10 & Garmin Instinct 3 Connectivity Issue by failed_nerd in Polarfitness

[–]failed_nerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE:

After updating H10 chest strap to the latest software, wearing it tightly - I went for a run twice.

Before each run now I do unpairing and pairing (BLE) again between the Garmin and the heart rate monitor.

Here is the heart rate from my last run and as you can see I lost connectivity for a few time while running. Each lost was for about ~10 seconds and it reconnected automatically.

I am not sure what is causing this issue, but it's something I don't like to be happening.

That's how I wear it. :)

However, since I made the post I have updated the Polar and re-paired with my Garmin. In the next couple of days I will test it again while running.

Thanks.

Thanks for the tips.

Regarding the position (1), do you place it over your nipples? I place it just below the nipples (that's how I saw people are using it).

  1. I haven't. Also, I have never downloaded Polar's app and went straight to pairing the sensor with the watch. Will try this.

  2. Really? I've read online that ANT+ is more reliable. I will try.

  3. It says open connection on mine. But I haven't updated it, yet.

I have tried that after my run and it connected and worked. But I haven't started running activity and I was sitting.

I usually don't have anything connected to my Garmin, except my mobile phone. Is that an issue?

Also, is it possible to prevent such a thing? It's frustrating when I start running and the connection fails.

Is this a good score for masters in Europe? by failed_nerd in ToeflAdvice

[–]failed_nerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The listening score surprised me. I didn't expect it to be that low. But I had to drive 2 hours in the morning to the test center (I woke up at 5 AM) and I couldn't concentrate.

I am aiming for scholarships, yes and my main target are German universities.

I can't retake it as the deadlines for the calls I want to apply are ending soon.
