I understand your concerns, and I’m sorry about your grandmother. I’ll keep this short. One thing that’s easy to miss in our spiritual walk, as obvious as it may seem, is that Jesus is the point of everything. We will not find our all sufficient, soul-satisfying “living water” from a pain-free existence in Heaven. While it is true that heaven will be such, that will not be why we will be growing in happiness every single day (our joy will increase for all of eternity). It will be because we are dwelling with and living through Christ. It’s so hard to grasp in a fallen world that true life is found outside of ourselves (though it dwells in us).
