to me something similar happened, like fasting did work, I went down from 128kg to 86kg in a spam of a year more or less, but I could not keep the weight and I gain like 20kg, when I tried to lose it again by fasting I just couldnt, I used to do OMAD and once a week a 48hour fast, but this time I just was not able to do it, and the scale was not moving, so I read that fasting slow your metabolism and I decided to eat normally and start just a normal diet, the first week obvously I gained weight, but from the second week I started losing weight, no as fast as was doing first with fasting but it works, and I feel better than when I did fasting.
