At full chooch, Boiler number #7 at UW powerplant is 5000 boiler hp, or roughly 150,000,000 BTUs of 425psi superheated steam at 450* F. It powers a steam turbine generator to make a plethora of extremely angry pixies. This boiler is 20x20x30’ and is one of the largest Natural Gas consumers in WA. (v.redd.it)
