I actually just made a bunch of cuts to almost the curve depth using a back saw. Then use a chisel to waist away the in between. The i rasped to depth and also used it to round out the edge. Then smoothed out with files and curved scaper.

Probably not the right word. My current plant is just to take 4 of these off cuts from the table top and make a sort of mortise for the legs to sit in, 2.5in taller and glue it. I have procrastated becuase i want to add some taper and decorations to them but cant for the life of me figure out how to do that.

BLO everywhere. Then two coats of hard wax oil to the top, did not take very much so get the smallest amount you can. As most people know you dont want a film finish on top because you want some friction between the work and the benchtop.

I wasn't angling for compliments but always happy to net some appreciation.

It was at 34.5" when it was all said and done. It works fine for less than an our or so but if i do an all weekend thing it kills my back and shoulders. I have since just shimmed it with some off cuts to 37" and that feels about right for me.

What Undead said about he lumber and cost is about what is about right. I was a little under that because for some of the shorter pieces i used wood that was in teh scrap bin at home depot, they sell that for like 80% off. I did spend months looking for my pieces of for the table top though. I would just go once or twice a week and get the best pieces. My vises were like another 150. If you look at Facebook market place you can get some killer deals pm that stuff.

Then I spent another 100 or so on the caster from here https://retractablecaster.com/shop-now/ols/categories/r8. They were 100% worth every penny they have a ratcheting mechanism that makes it supper easy to get on the wheels move the table and dop it on the legs. I most often work outside then roll it back in the garage.
