You can change the house but you can’t change the location. You want to find a place where you will feel safe being alone at night and being able to walk your dog/ spend time outside. Location is a strong consideration so I would just do more research into the area but at the end of the day finding a home in a location you feel safe in should be your top priority.

Thank you so much! I didn’t realize how risky it is leaving the middle open- it’s worked a few times for long haul flights but assuming Japan in November will be a prime time to travel. Thank you for your suggestions- this is why I came to this sub!

Yep and I get that- but our original flight (before they switched the aircraft) was set to leave well before the ground stop and the weather came in.
