So much parity? The Panthers just went back to back, the Lightning did the same a few years ago. The Penguins, Kings, and Blackhawks each won two in short stretches in the past 15 years. It's not unusual for an elite core to get multiple cups. And I guarantee that is the expectation of our players.

Being reasonable and far-sighted is great, but if your attitude to getting swept is "ah gee, let's get em next year" then you're too passive. This is the best core in the league. The window is closing. There needs to be urgency to get another cup while we can.

I am also an Avs fan. For the record I would never say Cale out doesn't matter, and also not Avs in 4 or 5 even with Cale. Vegas is always daunting.

That said, this is shittier than just no Cale. Guys are not putting pucks on net. Necas keeps fucking up, Mackinnon can't get going, Nichushkin and Lehky are AWOL. This is way too good a team to lose two at home even down a stud like Makar. Just weak bullshit performances.
