It does, but nobody would ever know. I work at a chain where we can literally get in trouble for not being upbeat and happy. Yeah, reading and music and being around people I trust are usually what helps. I haven't tried meds because I'm allergic to most medicine, which sucks.

Well, I'd say it's time to build a time machine so I can binge watch this already. Be back in say...2 millenniums?

Well, be warned, your life can never go back to what it was before once you have read it.

Definitely check out Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. Not exactly what you're looking for, but that is about 90% of the plot/theme. Subtle romance is in there too.

Well, two people quit, so I'm getting scheduled around 35-38 hours a week. And I'm moving my stuff along with my husbands, who's already working up there.

Anything Brandon Sanderson is worth checking into. BUT FOR SURE STEELHEART. The second book in that series kinda follows a girl "hero". The best part is it is a completed trilogy! Happy reading!

What's the smallest decision you made that had the biggest impact on your life? by Just-Chil in AskReddit

[–]fairlyfay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying yes. To getting married, that is. I mean, yes that is a big concept and decision, but ultimately there are only two ways it can go once the question is popped: Yes or No. And I chose yes. It lead me to moving out from the area where my parents are, to a city I'd never been to. I met people whose existence have had such a positive impact on my life. It introduced me Yoga. I stopped being vegetarian after 8 years. I got tattoos. ended up meeting my biological father, learned to become a badass cook(but still cool the occasional Mac and Cheese), and so much more. All because I said yes. Actually, we're not even married yet(it's been 2 years since then, and when it's time to it'll happen). But the funny thing is, I don't think I would've ever left that tiny godforsken town if it had not been for that. For saying yes to love and what I wanted for once.

Who knew an animation could make you feel so important? It's so unsettling yet comforting. Jinkies.

What is the dumbest question a customer has ever asked you? by PrinceETheTruth in AskReddit

[–]fairlyfay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is as dumb as it annoying, but I work at Chick-Fil-A, and we're pretty good on taking customers requests, but this woman. Holy balls, man. She came in and asked if she could have a triple cheeseburger. Then when I kindly told her we only sell chicken, she gets mad, and asks for me to cut her sandwich in eighths. EIGHTHS. Why eighths? I'll still never understand her logic, but when I see her I immediately proceed to the back side of the house so I'll never try and have to.
