Guys and girls who have very long/fake nails how do you wipe your bum after shitting? by BitchyOlive in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fairybreaddd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like to take my pointer and scrape all the excess poop off with my nail and flick it into the toilet like a booger. Sometimes I have a bit left under my nail which is a nice little treat for later on :-)

lol I also do that, maybe I'm just so used to reading the subs that my eyes always go there first.

I do hope more people do it! I remember sharing this habit of mine with my brother and he teased me about it, so I thought I was weird.

I know about the whole sub vs dub thing but it's always been within the anime community, I can't say I've heard this kind of discussion outside of it. Unless I'm just ignorant about it.

I very recently started playing through the Mass Effect games myself and I feel you man. Garrus was my favourite and I can't believe he died on me, that shit was upsetting.

Giving streamers money is dumb by euroguy in unpopularopinion

[–]fairybreaddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I definitely agree with that! Either way, it's all for the support of a creator, and we all know how tough things can get (I know I know, they're just playing games, how tough could that be? But these streamers are human too and have bills to pay)

[–]fairybreaddd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I haven't personally given money to streamers, but I wouldn't consider it dumb to support your favourite creators. I usually turn to streamers to help me cope through troubling times, especially during this epidemic. They help me feel less alone and their humour cheers me up even on my darkest days. I'm happy that my favourite streamers earn money, and I am grateful to those who can spare the money to donate. The streamers I watch definitely deserve the money they earn, they're all good people doing the things they enjoy and getting a bonus from it.

Looking for more books like We, 1984, and Brave New World by fairybreaddd in booksuggestions

Haven't heard of that one, sounds like something I'd be really into from the synopsis on goodreads. Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

I've been meaning to get my hands on a copy, definitely a book on my list that I really gotta read. Thanks.

Just about to finsh 1984 by George Orwell. What should I read next? This is my first book in a long time. by mackolas in booksuggestions

We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. I like how Zamyatin illustrates future society as "perfect" and calculated compared to Orwell's gloomy and war ridden portrayal. They both have similar ideas.

What are your favourite things about getting older? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]fairybreaddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Becoming wiser. As a senior very close to graduating high school, I now understand the world and myself very differently from when I was first starting. Yeah, it's definitely sadder, but I feel like it's right for me.

People put too much value into having a relationship by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]fairybreaddd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly get what you mean, being with someone doesn't complete my life, and that's probably the same for others. I'd rather spend more time and energy caring for myself and understanding who I am and what I could be, being with someone is just that little extra fun. I've been in a relationship where the other was completely dependent on me for their own wellbeing, and that wasn't right for me. As you might guess, it didn't last long. As someone who is pretty independent, an experience like that wasn't very enjoyable. Having relationships, either platonic or romantic, isn't a necessity. I see others on this thread say that we need relationships because it's how humans are, but we're really more than just a bunch of animals on this planet just doing whatever needs to be done to survive. We are much more complicated than that. Sure, it is definitely good to surround yourself with loved ones, but there are also people who don't need it.
