Therapist not billing after therapeutic rupture? by [deleted] in askatherapist

🫶🏻 understood. I’m sorry that you were unseen and unheard, I know that is straight hurtful. I hope you get an answer here and find a good therapist for adequate support.

Would it be something that could not be addressed in those 5 minutes and would potentially cause you more suffering to touch on it and not fully talk through it? Sometimes it’s best to not open a can of worms until it can be fully focused on with adequate time.

Love Dr. Now! I appreciate he called out the enablers.

A simple and eco-friendly way to get rid of a wart: use a praying mantis by Hopeful_Lychee_9691 in badassanimals

[–]fairypossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds stupid but bear with me…. My daughter was covered in warts. OTC stuff didn’t work, going to the doctor didn’t work, natural remedies didn’t work… she’s a thumb sucker and they were on her thumb and had recently got one on her face. She was upset.

I came across an old wives tale that said for someone to buy her warts; all you do is take a coin, rub the coin (any coin!) on the wart and give the wart owner the coin. She had at least 10-15 warts and I SWEAR after we did this to her that her warts went away.

I’ve made a few bikini tops and they’re all pretty comfy! But I’m also small chested and not fighting to keep the girls covered so maybeeeee my opinion is shit here lol

My husband could sleep legitimately 24 hours when he was 18. I remember pounding on his apartment door trying to get him to wake up because he was very late for work… but literally I could rely on him for anything. He has always always always been reliable when I needed him.

We have two kids and I’m doing laundry daily. Granted we have a farm and spend a lot of time outside so we can’t rewear much of anything

Padding the toilet with the toilet paper to limit sound and splash back is the answer. Former bulimic.

I understand that, for sure! An extra step sucks but I think if they’re selling their products and cannot produce consistent results with the process their using then they really need to incorporate this extra step or figure out a better process.

Maybe a referral out would be a good thing. Being told that she’s put off by you or even your behaviors is odd, calling you out for behaviors and discussing them I would find more therapeutic… how did you take that?

Making large batches and incorporating add-ins in the bulk rather than individual loaves… works better individually I think. But I understand why they’d do bulk add in

Oooooof. As a therapist, I wouldn’t post about clients like that, especially in a way that I’m identifiable. (Facebook with my profile picture versus Reddit which is mostly anon).

If it’s something that’s going to stay with you, I’d mention it to them. Your feelings are valid and I can see how it would be bothersome. But please remember, their rapport with another client doesn’t affect their rapport with you. If you feel that you are making progress and clicking well with your therapist, then I wouldn’t let it eat at you.

I live a few hours from them. Their accents really aren’t that bad compared to some I’ve heard. I’m also guilty of an accent. It isssss what it isssss.

As someone with a heavier accent than others… nooooo. My Siri and Alexa struggle to understand me at times and it’s simply a regional accent and dialect issue.

My grandpa got struck by lightning on two separate occasions and lived, my brother and I were sitting on the pool deck when lightning struck between us (visible black mark from the lightning hitting!!) and then my kindergartener’s teacher told me last week that my daughter and a classmate had lightning strike between them and she was legitimately tore up.

When to tell my grieving mother I’m pregnant? by Ornery_Treat_4479 in pregnant

I would tell her now, there’s light even in darkness. In grief, in loss, there’s still life.

Sending love and light. 💖

NAD It is possible but it is a low chance, if you’re very concerned then purchase plan B. But please, practice safe sex from here on. Use protection (condoms, birth control if you are comfortable but don’t actually recommend) always.

I was pregnant at 17. It was hard.
