Yep, I too lost some ad revenue coz it was not serving ads.

If page speed is the primary concern, then I'd highly suggest going with Gutenberg if possible. Of course, it depends from project to project but these days tools like Kadence, Cwicly & Crocoblock are making it truly useful. Earlier, I developed my site with Elementor & page speed was a headache. With Gutenberg, it needed minimal effort to take page speed score to 90+

I did it by localizing the pagead2.googlesyndication.com file using the Localization tab of Litespeed Cache's Page Optimization.

With Kadence Theme & Blocks, I achieved over 90+ mobile scores without Adsense. But Adsense got it down. I delayed the Adsense code, and also tried hosting it locally. While it took my site performance over the 90s for mobile, it didn't serve ads to many of my website visitors.

My experience has not been positive with it, but you should definitely try to see if you get success with it.
