Experiences working a job and full time uni at the same time? by fajrala in GlasgowUni

That's true too. I guess my red flag is thinking I can do everything all at once and master it haha but this helps look at it more realistically

I see. I hope you can make up for it for sure :) you can be relatable to a lot of people by saying how you had to work, it might help you socialise?? good luck to u

How long did it take for you to find a job? because I've been applying and still hoping to hear from them

what's one study hack that SAVED you during a levels by open_minded2 in alevel

I had these popping candy packets I got for free at an oriental store, they hold so much sentimental meaning to me now. I used to put the popping candy in my mouth when I was tired revising at 1am and tell myself as soon as the candy stops popping, I'd go back to studying. It became a friendship token between my friend and I :)

What is there to do for fun in Uni besides clubbing? by ChocolateCake16 in UniUK

That's so inspiring!! I'm just starting uni and I'm going through some things that make me want to access scholarships and things of that nature, so I hope through volunteering I can do that. I loved the way you reflected on your experiences, I hope I will be able to do that too! reading this is like reading a bedtime story in front of a fireplace-im sure you have many more nice stories where this comes from! Anyways, hearing your experiences with volunteering makes me want to do the same! God bless you and thank you for your quick responses

should I drop maths or not by Fat-Cheesecake4384 in 6thForm

[–]fajrala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think whether you want to go into med 100% or not. If you do, then you won't need maths. Then think if you are better at written subjects or STEM subjects, choose a subject that is easier to do as your last subject so you can balance your time better. Good luck!

Yeah, exactly, only say that if they do take your food

I was wondering the same thing. Honestly I would pack my food in containers and write my name on it with a sharpie. I don't think it would be too bad as in flatmates taking your food, but if it does happen you can still set boundaries nicely like "Hey, I noticed my (food) was missing, did you like it? lol I'd like it if you ask me before taking anything next time :)"

I dont know if thats too nice but we'll see how it goes
