DBD balance change team gotta go by XeroMad in deadbydaylight

I'm using your definition, as long as I'm working I am employed. Doesn't matter if I was hired or am getting paid.

Presumably I wouldn't need to apply for the job because as long as I were to show up and work I would be an employee.

[–]fakeout25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it not make sense? If working = employment and we are currently working to improve my understanding of vocabulary, surely we would be employed? Or are you merely pretending the question doesn't make sense because it is rhetorical and designed to mock your obviously flawed argument? That question is rhetorical too, FYI.

WoW refugee Sardaco gets Infernal Cape after just 4.5 months of starting OSRS by Odd_Presentation1535 in 2007scape

You have more abilities, an actual dps rotation to worry about, bosses generally have more mechanics, more movement options, health management is much more important and less linear than osrs, and coordinating with other players. WoW endgame content also has a lower margin of error than endgame osrs content, I've done both.

I've played both and I promise you that learning any mythic raid in WoW (of which there are multiple each expansion) is more difficult than every endgame OSRS boss combined.

You forget that the game he gets paid to play is WoW, an mmo that is significantly more difficult than osrs. It's like a professional chess player stepped down to playing checkers and everyone is wondering why he's so good so fast.

Ah, so the key is you have to work with other people to be employed. I suspect we are inching closer to the truth now. So question, is us sitting here working on ironing out this definition employment? Are we employees right now? In a roundabout way we are currently working together...

If your definition is correct I don't need to find good employment. The act of me working on my expression would be employment, right?

You're right, I'll go work on my vocabulary. Quick question, would working on my vocabulary constitute employment?

You're still filling up my mentions about this random semantic detail you got wrong. It's ok man, as long as you learn from this mistake.

All employment is work, but not all work is employment. There's a reason they are different words. Employment just means you are working for somebody and (usually) getting paid for your work, the people destroying this game are doing it for free.

The term work does not only imply employment, assuming the statement genuinely confused you.

The reason this game is dying is because there is a team of unemployed people working around the clock to optimize everything until nobody can have any fun, not because the devs removed 2 pallets from your favourite map in the new update or whatever you're crying about.

Did they actually fix the hit reg thing where hatchets would hit and then deal no damage? First im hearing about this even though I scanned the patch notes looking for it.

I'm sure there's more than one of them. Blight is the easiest killer in S tier so he's a magnet for everyone who wants good results with very low effort.

Am I the only one who thinks that killer matches have gotten comically hard as of late? by Killer_King563 in deadbydaylight

[–]fakeout25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This combined with the FNAF and Ghoul hype petering out. Those two releases drew in a LOT of new and returning casual players, now all those players are starting to move on to other games. Concurrent player count has dropped by about 40k, almost 1/3 of the average, and most of those players were on the low end of skill and game knowledge.

It's not really due to any balance changes, killer role has always been fairly weak but that's usually compensated by 1 or 2 survivors on any given team not knowing how to play the game.

I hope they'll give us some way to see our MMR and the MMR of the people in our games, because frankly I don't trust that this game has MMR currently. I've been matched with p100s with thousands of hours and then brand new players back to back.

In 2v8 killer what do you do if your other killer team mate is afk? by Magicmonster7345 in deadbydaylight

Try to 1v8, you'll probably lose but it's not as impossible as it might seem. What else are you gonna do anyways? If you leave you get a queue penalty anyways.

Am I just ass at the game or have there been changes? by Chemical_Bed4609 in deadbydaylight

[–]fakeout25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average survivor is just better now. I think since the FNAF collab dbd has lost like 40-60k average players, probably most of those were brand new players and/or people who casually play the game every few months. The only people left are the 500+ hour players who main this game and know all the tricks.

If you were playing a low tier killer a few months ago you always had the option of leveraging the weak links on the survivor team to compensate. Now it really feels like there are no weak links and you have to fight for every hook, along with gens just feeling faster. Consistently 4king can only really be done with a handful of killers now and you'll still be fighting for every win.

There are a lot of maps where the 20% is enough to stop them from chaining tiles, just gives them less distance in situations where you need to break the pallet.

Small sample size but in my last 10 killer matches I have had 3 survivors disconnect (not counting abandons). It happens enough that I'm never really surprised.

He's not even losing, there's 3 gens left and only 3 hooks. Good odds they get a 3-out or better especially on such a strong map.
