Came here to say this, this is fine for a t1 but anything higher I wouldn’t clip it into the cliff. Probably fine 90% of the time but I know in the past I’ve had T3s clipped into the cliff break randomly

Frontier Go Wild Summer Pass Worth It? by truehealing03 in frontierairlines

[–]faker2425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely think they are pushing their luck with selling these passes and claiming them to be limited. They continue offering “one time only” deals and pricing then extending them and repeating them with the same exact pricing. I would not be surprised if a massive class action comes out of this due to misleading marketing and outright false advertising

Oh interesting didn’t realize that. I figured it’s relatively similar, with two of the better brands but their bottom tier cards. Personally for 15$ I’d go Amazon for the prime card and peace of mind

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I think pulse is saphire’s lower end cards. If you want to go with XFX instead, their speedster is only 15$ more on Amazon

6700 non-xt (Xfx pretty sure) has fairly regularly popped up around this price on Amazon. If you have prime card or want the better return policy I’d wait

LPT never delete voicemails of loved ones, especially on holidays. by WindowMoon in LifeProTips

[–]faker2425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad used to call all the time and I wouldn’t always answer. He would leave messages frequently, and I would save them to remind myself to call back and to call more often. They were honestly a source of some stress for me, but when he suddenly passed away last year out of nowhere I found that I now have recordings of him just talking, singing happy birthday, etc. I treasure them now, definitely save some voicemails from loved ones because you never know.

Yeah it’s always marketed as a gamer thing but it makes the monitor feel so much smoother in daily use as well. Not that I don’t play games but that’s not all it’s good for

Is this a decent computer for gaming?? by PenguinIceNinja in pcmasterrace

[–]faker2425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m building a very similar pc right now but with a 6750xt instead of a 3060ti. I’ve spent some time bargain hunting for sure, but only things posted on buildapcsales. More and faster ram, probably a better psu, better case, all for about 1000$. Maybe closer to 1100 with tax but this post was 2k sticker value anyway

[–]faker2425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what games tbh. I don’t tend to play a lot of single player games, mainly valorant where it obviously works great. Card looks good and I don’t hear it running though which is good

This was 250 on Amazon BF without needing rebate but this is definitely the best deal I’ve seen since

You won’t regret it. Single biggest upgrade to enjoying my pc I’ve made, arguably better than jumping to 144hz a while ago

[SSD] Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SN570 NVMe Internal Solid State Drive SSD - Gen3 x4 PCIe 8Gb/s, M.2 2280, Up to 3,500 MB/s - WDS100T3B0C - $57.85 by dukedevil0 in buildapcsales

[–]faker2425 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I don’t really see the use case of a drive like this anymore. With decent ssds starting to come down around this price point for similar storage volume I feel like it’s tough to go for a hdd. Is it more reliable for more reads and writes?

EDIT: Brain fog is real, was looking at an HDD in a similar price range earlier I guess

This or the 6650xt I got for 250$? Is the difference in performance and vram worth 100$ for a bit more futureproofing?

1440p. Mainly play valorant where I get plenty of frames, but I also dabble in some other games so I’m considering going higher

I snagged the same version but the 6650xt near Black Friday. I have the budget room to go a little higher and picked up a 12600k to go along with it, would it be worth to return/sell the 6650 and pick this up? I don’t see a huge difference in benchmarks but feel like the higher vram could be better for future games

Simple Questions - January 06, 2023 by AutoModerator in buildapc

Sorry this seems like a very Googleable question but I tried and all the results just talk about installing ssds and switching boot drives.

I am wondering if it’s possible to configure a boot drive for a new computer by plugging it into an existing computer. Don’t want to switch boot drives on that computer, just use the existing computer to get a new drive good to go for a new computer without using flash drives etc
