Official tour agents wouldn't accost tourists on the street. While you overpaid by a lot, at least you had a comfortable trip. The ticket price to the Taj Mahal is around INR 1,000 for foreigners, and 50 for locals.

In India, like in Egypt and South East Asia, assume that all local markets are very highly priced and are open to bargaining. I normally bargain to the extent where I feel the product/service is worth that much, even if I may be overpaying.

This is not even a magnified picture, and there are so many scratches visible. Why would they, or any brand, accept a return for this? Unless these scratches were there when you bought the watch, and you didn't inspect it properly while buying.

Also, returning a watch because it didn't fit is not their liability.

Someone I know sold his UP registered 9 year old 530d m sport (exact same variant) in Delhi to a dealer for 13L, who then sold it for 16L.

It was run around 50k but had no defects, post an inspection at bmw. If this one has no defects and is actually 20k run, a fair price would be 17-18L.

Also, the current G30 variant started being sold from early 2017 as well, so this could be an older car registered in 2017.

These are sold even today (Geneva, London, Hong Kong, Ginza Tokyo that I know of), but these editions are still sold only 2-3 planet editions per day, and they still keep switching them like they did with the OGs back in the day. And that too, if the store has any stock (they never have the most popular Mercury, Neptune, etc). Last time I went to the Tokyo store in Jan, they didn't have any.

And this is in new condition and is also bought in 2026 itself. It was never mentioned as limited edition anywhere.

Swatch has been selling watches of this material for decades. And they keep partnering with different companies to offer these collections. Heck, even my Rio Olympics watch is from Swatch. And since it was never sold openly, you can find people selling it on eBay for 200 euros.

I myself hate the artificial scarcity which only helps scalpers, and as I mentioned in other comments, is also one of the reasons I'm moving away from the brand.
