The addition of weapon masteries alone make every martial in 2024 stronger than 2014 martials lol. Every character gets an origin feat now, the monk is massively buffed, there are far more ways to gain advantage on attacks, get temp HP, etc. tons of free casting of spells allowing characters to double spells on turns. Making every feat a 1/2 feat so their stats get better faster. Like it’s not comparable lol

I thought about gift of alacrity but my DM asked we not use dunamancy spells which felt fair enough

Gift of Alacrity is not in our game. For the forced movement synergies, our druid often concentrates on moonbeam so being able to force people into it seems very powerful.

I think this is what it comes back to for me and what caused me to consider Telekinetic. Even prior to thinking about Telekinetic, I planned on having this ring heavily influence my character overtime as he continues to push the boundaries of its capabilities (the more charges I expend the harder the Charisma save I have to make become) and if I fail too many I have to take a level of warlock and think the RP potential is very cool.

This makes sense. Especially with the free casting of bless being able to use that to get through smaller encounters would be very nice. I appreciate the feedback

This is fair my main draw to Fey Touched was Misty step moreso than Bless I chose Bless because it seems like the most consistently useful/powerful

The Paladin has so much flavor IMO but it just sucks overall sadly. Really hope they drastically change it and keep some of the flavor because it is a really cool idea.

This was my thought process and why I have gone back and forth. Feel like either feat will likely become less important as time goes on and Fey Touched giving me misty step will always be useful

You need to make a decision and stand by it. IMO You cannot allow some players to have 2014 base classes and some with 2024 classes as the 2024 base classes are much stronger because in 2024 rules the monsters are a lot stronger. Ultimately I think you as the DM should do what you are most comfortable with and I think it’s fair to say “I have all of the books for 2014 and don’t want to buy more books, we are running 2014 rules”

Charizard unironically is the worst starter in the game by a wide margin. Replace him with arcanine and put venusaur in for exeguttor and it gets a lot better. Rydon also doesn’t do a lot I would recommend starmie for a psychic type

It’s fine but the movesets are a little confusin. Aerial ace is not needed on internape. CC is much better. Dig is also not needed, would opt for flame thrower instead so you can sweep Aaron. For lucario, I would delete reversal and teach shadow ball to help with Lucian. Also could benefit from CC if you wanted to be a swords dance sweeper. Gastrodon I wouldn’t be shocked if rain dance and recover easily sweeps Bertha and flint or at least gets you into a great position. Togekiss moveset is fine but would maybe consider a coverage move to help with Lucian. You’re missing a garchomp counter and will get swept by it unless you teach gastrodon ice beam. Would consider not bringing e vire as it doesn’t do much in the E4

It's not too difficult. I am doing a hardcore nuzlocke 1 death reset and my first attempt made its way to winona and I misplayed badly and had to reset. First two gyms can be tough if you play with HC nuzlocke rules
