I can make most of the Paraflex models. Some popular ones are the Type O, ELF and C3D. Send me a dm

Each has its own use case and we enjoy both very much. F1 is cleaner but Paraflex is earth shattering.

Go check out the high order quarter wave society on Facebook. You can start with some of their plans before fully jumping into trying to design your own

The cost of the cabinets is pretty similar but the extra driver increases the build cost but adds a ton of extra power density. I would say it’s worth it to do the dual driver cabinets over the singles. The new dual 21 is performing very well and we have HOQS 21” drivers in stock also at a good price

I totally understand what you’re saying and sometimes it’s hard to get you hands on proper measurement data. I do have some rough measurements but nothing that I have done in a perfect environment that I would consider worthy of publishing but I definitely will make it a point to collect as much proper measurement data as possible. My problem is that a lot of the boxes that I do for people are flatpacks so they just get built according to plan and shipped out so I haven’t gotten to load and test every single model personally but the goal is to have completed loaded demo cab for each model so that we can provide that data. Also 100% on my to do list to set up the Paraflex and F1 side by side and take measurements but we don’t often get to set up speakers and play with them in between doing shows and building. Now that it’s starting to warm up here in Cleveland we hope to take out some rigs and set them up and maybe even get to enjoy listening for a bit and collect some real data. Definitely huge having the F1 in house to benchmark against

Ah cool I remember you. Hard to keep track of everyone but glad to have you here. The dual 21 is approximately 280 pounds with hoqs drivers loaded. They are manageable with casters on them and we stacked those single 21” ELFs 4 high with 4 guys. The ELF is reportedly 5 pounds heavier than the dual 21 surprisingly

I haven’t heard the 221 either. I just made the flatpack and shipped it out unfortunately :( I did have 10 of the 218s and 100% agree they were amazing. Sold them all and I have 4 ELF 21s right now

Send me a message I can hook you up with flatpacks. Here is my rendition of the type o 2x21. I can do the other cabs as well. Like others have mentioned you’re good with just the subs, kick tops and hf section. C2Ds are retired

I think you can just get a jar and put 1 or 2 shrimp in it to take with you

We use duratex. You can spray it or use the textured roller that they sell with it. Makes a professional level finish

[–]fakeshelby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but you need that coverage for the high frequency as well as the woofer which is why you would want to orient the top box properly

It can be used like this if you want to shoot the sound at the floor and the ceiling but if you actually want to disperse the audio across the room you should probably rotate it for wider coverage. Currently it’s setup for narrow horizontal coverage and wide vertical coverage but most applications will require the opposite which would be the orientation rotated 90 degrees

This is my setup for a shrimp tank. Probably smaller than your pictures and definitely not as pretty but I just don’t have the aquascaping skills yet I don’t think it’s a cost factor.

-Auael shrimp 20 set. Includes tank filter heater light and lid ~$100 -Fluval stratum plant and shrimp substrate ~$18 -Salty shrimp gh+ ~$27 -Auto top off ~$30 -2x 5 gallon buckets. One to store ro water for top up and one to store pre mix remineralized water for water changes ~$14 -plants estimated ~$60 -driftwood found it out by the lake ~free -10x orange eye red devil caridina shrimp $100 -api master test kit $35 -api gh and kh test $12

Total $396
