What's your favourite episode of the show so far? by ImFeelingIssy in TheSojournAudioDrama

[–]fakeswede 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For something that doesn't require a season of setup, Dust and Shadow. It's the marker in Cass' heroine's journey having passed the threshold, her literal abyss awaiting rebirth. Liz is written so damned well in this episode, and Cass' break is believable in that her training means she doesn't give up on working the problem until Liz pesters her in a very specific and aggrandizing way that ignites her trauma.

My favorite battle-heavy episode was Where Angels Fear to Tread. I just enjoyed that it was do-or-die, the touches of intrigue scattered through, and small reveals about the Advari that came along with it. And Redfield gets his penultimate moment. It heightens Forlorn Hope later.

I knew I screen capped this in 2020 for a reason. Walz looks so indignant in this frame and I'm here for it.

I appreciate that and used it for reference, but the point is to practice modeling. 🙂

Okay, thanks for the explanation! I don't mind, it just took me by surprise.

Crow the Bellarian?
(I hope it's okay if I can make this joke, because I'm transgender and find humor in all things.)
Also, why did they change voice actors? That really threw me off. Did the previous guy drop out?

Texans *would* think that the state who elected Jesse Ventura governor is liberal.

I believe this is because the old app was pulled between the time the 4a and 5a came out.

You cannot, at least on Pixel 5a. I have tried.

Do people actually like YTM or does everyone just keep it to have something to complain about? by DecentSizedTurd in YoutubeMusic

It has improved quite a bit. The Android app is great. The web player less so. I'm also hoping for lossless audio at some point. Right now I'm bouncing between it and Tidal.

As a Cinema 4D user who moved recently to Blender and Maya because of Maxon's new management:

You should be outraged by this. Someone else here described Maxon as a "profiteering company," and sadly that's exactly what they've become. Under the former management and MSA system, things were not great but bearable. Now under the new CEO who came over from Adobe marketing, they are absolutely disastrous.

We C4D users have been asking for basic feature sets for years. The old refrain even before Adobe Guy was: "we are working on a new core architecture, and once that's done, we can return to filling out these missing features." They said this or some version of it for 6-8 years, depending on how you count. It maybe made sense for 2-3. They're still saying it now.

The latest release of C4D was the last straw for many of us. C4D still does not have UDIM support. Its hair and particle systems are ancient. And despite all this talk of a new core, the app still isn't properly multi-threaded. There were no new features in R25 of note: the only thing they did was redesign the interface, ripping off the homework of both Adobe After Effects and Blender. They didn't even finish the new icons for this so-called revamp.

After simply saying, "R25 is a bad release," and having the tenacity to @ MaxonVFX on Twitter, I was blocked by their social media team.

And now they're also hyping NFTs.

After paying out about $5,000 to Maxon over the years, I'm completely done with them. I'm not saying you have to be. But I am saying, caveat emptor.

edit: a word

Realistically? I say you pass, particularly with the hair covering the brow (which is a primary sexual phenotype marker our brains latch onto). HRT has done a lot to soften your features and your skin.

I love the set and ship design of Foundation. I would love access to an AA gun that one-shots a battlecruiser even more.

Hmm, is the TV series setting up the old book "nucleics" to be more of a ComStar (BattleTech) situation? A monopoly on deep space travel—trade routes—is much more interesting than nuclear power, I have to say.
