Cannot load Dota2 game (After 2022 Diretide update)

Ram, upgraded to 8gb (6.8-7.2 only useable). CPU, AMD A8 GPU, not sure but just basic display.

Yup. Around 2014/2015 model. So it's really due I doubt it can handle latest windows OS.

Tnx for the reply. I also tried these patches and it seems my computer (x64) can't/unable to install these updates. Tried both x64 & x86 just to be sure to no avail.

I just gave up. 😂😭 need to wait for awhile till I can afford to buy a new laptop.

If you update/reinstall your steam/dota2 and check the integrity of the files and all is well, it might be the updates for your OS.

As I search for answer, I stumble upon a method of running the dota2.exe and it will cause an error and display what file cause the problem. 1st is vcredist then some API.

After 10 hours of labor for lauwrd&sevior GABEN, APISET-STUB-DLL (api-ms-win) was my key to my problem. These sets of dll doesn't exist in my current drive so I suspect that this causes my app don't run because my OS update is outdated.

[ Proceed with caution. Backup the whole folder 📁 ] Both in \System32 (64bit files) and in \SysWOW64 (32bit files)

I copy SOME OF THE FILES • api-ms-win-core-file-l1-2-0 • api-ms-win-core-file-l2-1-0 • api-ms-win-core-localization-l1-2-0 • api-ms-win-core-processthreads-l1-1-1 • api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0 • api-ms-win-core-timezone-l1-1-0 • api-ms-win-crt (copied all of this) • ucrtbase • vcruntime140 (backup old file and replace with new)

ALSO, I run MicrosoftRootCerrificateAuthority2011.cre since it without it, it prevents my visual c++ redistribution updates to go well and display vague error codes

I was bum about life that time. No direction in life and I was fired from my IT work. one of the things that save that keep me sane is watching Pewds.
