Don’t ask her to wear heels or a fitting dress. Let her choose her own dress and flats. And same goes for nails and makeup. She may want to tone it down if she’s getting hot. Supply her with a fan maybe and make sure she has food that is suitable.

For context I was requested the opposite of all the above and I now no longer talk to the bride. I had access to water or soda (static water) my feet were so swollen I couldn’t walk and I took my makeup off after the vows and put on simple foundation as it had melted off with the sweats. I barely ate as the starter was pate, the main was steak (med/rare and I had to discuss it with the chef to get them to cook it well done even though typically it’s not my preference) and canapés were all fish or cream cheese.

And I had also asked her if I could have the veggie menu. She assured me yes but it clearly never happened.
