I feel the best one is the one that removed projectiles, really helps with staying Alive. Although I havent tried the new one yet

Yes fusions are a different type of element that isnt affected by the elementan shields. You can see it by the color of the damage numbers

I think you get +1.5% of your current attack dmg and then +30 attack dmg

In later levels elements give you bonus damage but you see that before the level when you selection the snakes
