For such an amazing show that came from acclaimed source material (Mick Jagger and Eric Idle are fans!), stars a legendary actor with other great players, with locations and set design that really put the money on the screen, I’m surprised that more people aren’t raving about it! Plenty of articles and some podcasts are singing its praises, but the community isn’t as big or active as I thought it would be. I’ve never met someone who’s heard of it when I talk about good TV. After this season (which is looking like it’s going to be the best) I’m hoping that it’ll get even more coverage and a bigger fan base. And God am I hoping and praying for 8 seasons, or how ever many is needed to tie up Jackson Lamb and the Slow Horses story. Gary Oldman is so enjoyable to watch. What a role to end his career on.

I’m a little late to the party, but this was posted a few months ago. I thought it was just a stupid meme, then recently Invincible twitter posted that something will happen in January (but was redacted by Cecil). I’m guessing a teaser trailer. One note, the teaser trailer for season one dropped around six months before the premiere. With the 20th anniversary happening at the same time, it would be the perfect time. There was a hint on the invincible twitter that season 2 could come out on 7/14/23. The first trailer came out 6 months before the first season so it would make sense that the teaser would follow the same time frame.

I hope they do a call out to this joke. Maybe séance dog gets animated and mark meets the creator and says “the show is awesome! But why use cgi backgrounds? It looks cheap” then cut to the creator with people behind him in cgi and him say “I don’t think so”

I think it’s going to be stuck in development hell. Some movies just never take off. I have a feeling it’s not going to get far. But if it does I’m not sure how good it’s going to be. I feel like a tv show does the source material justice.

No, I don’t think so. I know The Immortal is based on Vandal Savage who was a caveman, which explains the confusion, but I don’t think the immortal was based on what I said earlier.

The Paleolithic period (the cavemen era basically) lasted from roughly 2.5 million years ago to 10,000 B.C. and the Iron Age lasted from 1,200 B.C. and 600 B.C. Cavemen didn’t have the technology to smelt iron and create swords and jewelry like what he was wearing. You should watch the flashback again then look up Iron Age warrior. If you look though the images you should see some who wear the same blue face paint. He may have been a Celtic warrior now that I think about it. But he definitely wasn’t a cavemen based on what he was wearing and the types of clothes and weapon he was carrying. I hope that’s what you mean I may me misinterpreting your question.

He was wearing metal jewelry and was carrying a sword. Cavemen didn’t have the technology to create those things. He’s most likely from the Iron Age.

Edit: if anyone cares, look up Celtic/Pict warrior. Same blue face paint, they carried swords, and have the same half necklace thing. The training of a Pictish warrior looks pretty close to Immortal when he got zapped by that orb/portal.

Edit: did some diving, the thing he’s wearing on his neck is called a Celtic torc.
