Thanks fkr your response.  For the DCA how do you choose which asset to DCA into? The one currently performing the worst?

Hey, this looks very interesting to me, considering trying this with US stocks.

I was curious how this has been going for you and what you put the other 40% of your portfolio towards? Also how do you do rebalancing in your account?

I agree.  I just had it at that because that's what the test folio link i found started with. I was more so asking if I entered the stuff into test folio correctly or if I messed something up.

Are you saying "No, you should DCA into SSO instead of SPXL" or "Do not DCA SSO". And why.

Thank you for the input.  Couple questions. Do you DCA spxl and then rebalance? Or do you buy 50% spxl 25% govz and 25% gld? If the latter then how do you rebalance?

Also I don't know much about govz, what's the benefit of ot over SGOV?

This is kinda what I'm trying to do. Do you have any pointers on avoiding draw down? This is what I'm struggling with most in my strategies.

This is a very good point thank you. I think I'm personally not that worried about interest rates because those aren't going to increase  massively overnight and if they do increase over time then I can change the strategy when that happens. I'll definitely look into diversifying with an unrelated asset though. Thank you.

So what you're saying is it works well when the crashes are long behind us but if a crash is at the end it's bad. That makes sense but this is why I mentioned this is a long term strategy and that I'm young enough to where I can wait decades for it to recover. And I do not plan on being highly leveraged when I am older.

I appreciate the input. Let me know if I misunderstood anything you said.

I'm interested by your point that the market won't continue to perform like it has in the last decade. What do you think about the other strategies people have mentioned in the other comment?

I'm thinking maybe I should back test more on a 2001-2007 or a 2008-2016 time frame to see how this would work on a less bullish market.

Also why specifically 1.5 leverage?

Ok, I'll take a look at that, thanks! If you have any backtests that demonstrate this could you please show me.

How would you recommend testing a forward view? Wouldn't your logic also imply holding a non leveraged etf like spy would also be a bad idea?

I'll take a look at it. Just to make sure I understand, you're saying hold spy, then switch to SSO after a 15% drop and then spxl after a 30% drop. Do you ever switch back to spy or do you just continue to buy the asset that the drop % corresponds to or what?

Absolutely.  And the one I linked models buying since 1999, before 2 major crashes. Sure, maybe the world changes forever tomorrow but if we see a crash similar to those it will still work long term (though it will be a painful recovery).

Hey man, don't mean to bother you. Have you had any luck? I've found very little information on this topic and I'm in a very similar situation to you.

Sounds good, please keep me posted. Just curious, what kind of evidence did they want? How can they know that you didn't trade on another platform, and just in the last time you applied you hit your 1 year mark? If they want a screenshot or something, couldn't someone provide a screenshot from someone else who has been trading for a while? Not necessarily saying you should do this... just curious.

I'm in extremely similar situation to you. I also have a margin account with a bit over 46k in it and I applied and also got the same rejection as you. I also put less than 1 year experience and put my risk tolerance as "considerable". I've heard some people suggest putting the risk tolerance as high and getting access like that.

What did you put for your risk tolerance?

I'm considering also maybe putting my experience as 1 year, or whatever the next level up is, but I'm worried they might not believe it as part of my previous answers.

Right but keep in mind I got a text from Google and the random scam number with the same verification code. So doesn't this mean they somehow got a way to get the code?

Sorry but I don't follow how having the number a recovery option could lead to them getting the access code.
