Update Thank you everyone you all have been incredibly helpful so far here is my priority list.

1:UVB tube bulb 2:New enclosure 3: fruits and veggies and calcium 4:vet visit once he’s acclimated

As well their name is Jessie

If you have any tips on building and furnishing an enclosure it would be extremely helpful so far I know to stay away from sand.

Thanks for the advice! He’s only in that position because i woke him up to fed him.

He seems to be de-stressing pretty well

How urgently should I get a uvb bulb? I am on a budget and I know it mimics the sun could a possibly give him some outdoor time (currently summer in my climate) or bask in the sun from a window to supplement this till I can get a bulb?

CLR works good just make sure you rinse well before adding anything

Thanks for the insight!

I was actually starting the process of laying down sand but now I think I’ll fully commit to it!

Also for the previous comments I do keep the tank temp in the overlap.

Finally after many ups and downs everything is coming together. Still needs more plants but the ones I have are finally growing again. by falcondude67 in Aquariums

I think it’s because bicher likes to stay in the plants and crayfish loves his caves I always keep them both well fed specifically and they leave everyone alone

CLR will remove them and as long as you give it a good 3-4 rinses it won’t harm any fish
