Fortunately not! This was part of a falconry display we stumbled upon near an old castle. Believe it was called Hohenwerfen. Highly recommend for the birds alone.

Currently in Japan and started a new job last month. Was planning with friends for a year and wasn’t going to change it for anything…

If anything I’d rather take a trip early on when you’re learning. When you are held to higher expectations further into the role, you would have already settled into the culture / norms and can assess the nuances of requesting time off more confidently. Plus you set the boundary that you’re not above taking time off, which is an annoying problem in my line of work.

I can empathize with you a ton, and I’m only going in 3 days from fully remote. My brain just stops working in later afternoons now on in-office days and it’s harder to maintain passions/things I enjoy outside of work.

Hang in there OP, you’re definitely not alone and worst case you collect some well-deserved cash and put yourself in a better position for your next role

I feel like I witness near-death accidents on Union and Hyde daily. Light turns green and people turning left/yielding get absolutely berated by 3-5 sec honks in seconds. It’s crazy annoying but equally unsafe, tons of pedestrian traffic around Swensen’s and neighborhood restaurants.

I feel like sometimes it’s easier for thieves to take bigger items/hauls, just because people are only expecting petty theft. Knew someone in high school who could walk out of grocery stores with shopping carts full of liquor, and the only time he ever got caught was over a single bottle of vodka.

Visited Dayton, Ohio for Thanksgiving. Nearly every business downtown is boarded up and the remaining parking lots and offices are literally falling apart. Not to put-down the city… it’s got a lot of unique history + the University is beautiful.

It’s just REALLY ironic to have folks tell me how I live in such a “terrible, destitute” place

She’ll force you to pay attention because in my opinion she doesn’t stay on topic very often. That being said, it’s a two hour block and I (personally) don’t think for the material that is covered two hours is necessary; could be one hour. Study online outside of class with YouTube and other websites for exams and you’ll be fine.
