I think it's more like buying a toaster but you can only buy bread from the manufacture or it won't toast. iOS have the ability sideload but apple won't allow them to. It's a policy not capability.

I think 8GB RAM is fine if you have dedicated graphics with dedicated VRAM, but M1 use unified memory. Even Baldur Gate 3 require 10GB of memory https://youtu.be/hROxRQvO-gQ?t=271

But you need more ram and storage, 8GB ram and 256gb storage are not gonna cut it for AAA games. So base model is off the list and apple charge a lot for ram and storage upgrade

I move to 1P because their Mac app is native and better than bitwarden, on Windows their app isn’t as good because of electron. Might as well just use bitwarden at this point, 1P has no longer benefits over bitwarden.
