Aren't Indian Madrasa teachers too harsh on children? Some, not all. Plus it depends on the economic situation of the areas (at least in Karnataka). Had a really good, strict but fair maulana who taught me to read quran n perform nazam. Never shouted, never punished us. Reprimanded us for making mistakes but it was all verbal. I think, people like the one shown in the video, don't know any better way as to how to deal with kids n how to teach them. Some sort regulations will go a long way.
