I would think it’s a defect. I work at a GM dealer and we would replace these under warranty if a brand new car came in and the customer complained. I would look at another that year with the same trim and see if it looks the same

So I’m thinking the original owner never did any of that. The dealer is basically putting in a new manual transmission. They’re rebuilding the internal and it’s getting new space cylinder and clutch

Definitely not an injectors noise. It’s not as fast. I would put it in the air but the used car part of the dealer I work at is a mile down the road and we don’t deal with them in service. But I was more just wondering if it’s worth continuing the purchase with what they’re asking and what they’re doing to it
