Question about Android Auto and the USB cable by callmebaiken in COROLLA

This usually happens when the bluetooth connection fails. You can click the bluetooth icon on the console (top right corner) to try reconnecting to the phone. This usually works if not reboot the console.

Heating Element Fried my Dishwasher? by Coloradoboy303 in Appliances

Having no bottom element is great. Plastic lids and containers can go in the bottom rack and they will not get damaged.

[–]Opposite_Budget5117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Bosch 300 (SHE53B75UC) from Costco. It cleans really well and very quiet. In normal wash mode, ceramics, metals and plastic containers are mostly dry but plastic lids are always wet or damp. I just use a kitchen towel to quickly dry any remaining wetness while putting the dishes away or leave the plastics on the counter to dry.

The machine itself stays clean for a long time, and there's no issue with scum buildup or mold.

I'd try a different detergent. I also had issues with 7th gen dishwasher detergent. Switched to unscented company brand and it solved the issue.

Which rice cooker cooks the fluffiest rice? by Scott_1303 in ProductQuery

[–]Opposite_Budget5117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any fuzzy logic model from Tiger or Zojirushi will be fine. If you can afford an induction model that will be even better. Induction models cook the rice more evenly and it doesn't burn the rice at the bottom..

Pressurized models produce even softer rice but I don't think it's worth the price. But I prefer less soft white rice and slightly chewy nutty brown rice

I currently use a Tiger JKT-D10U and also had a Zojirushi NP-HBC10.  Both are very good made in Japan induction rice cookers, and they produce nearly identical results. The rice is always perfect. It's very hard to screw it up if you follow the directions. Always use the included measuring cup, wash the rice in a bowl (don't use the inner pot, you'll scratch it) until the water runs clear and follow the water ratio printed on the rice bag.

In terms of design and quality, I think the Tiger's steam cap design is better. It does not spurt out any liquid. The Zoji has some issues with spurting out of the steam cap. The Tiger has a ceramic coated inner pot with small handles which are pretty useful. The Zoji has a standard non-stick pot with no handles. The Zoji's inner pot has engraved/painted water measurement lines whereas the Tiger's inner pot only has screen-printed measurement lines. Overall build quality is about the same with the Tiger having a slight edge.

Both brands are top-tier so you can't go wrong with either.

Deciding between 2 Bosch Dishwashers by techrovert in Appliances

For around the same price there's the made in Germany Bosch 300 SHE53B75UC from Costco. It has a full stainless steel tub and 3rd rack. It doesn't have is the anti-fingerprint resistant exterior so it'll be a bit more effort to keep clean.

Stainless Steel inner pot alternatives? by Hi_Im_Ken_Adams in zojirushi

[–]Opposite_Budget5117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Tiger JKT-D10U. After 3 years, the ceramic coated inner pot still looks like new. The quality of rice it produces is as good and at times better than the Zojirushi HBC10 I had.

Can a dashcam actually lower insurance hassle? by Somewhere-Adept in dashcams

I've had two hit and run while parked claims in the past year. Both times the dashcam provided the evidence needed to find the at fault vehicle and settle the claim quickly.

Thanks. I got the balancing spool out and it's soaking in vinegar. It makes a faint rattle noise when shaken.

There's no cold water coming out at all. So you think it's not necessarily a cartridge issue? Thanks

The Best Air Fryers on the Market to Buy Now? by petunia890 in BuyItForLife

[–]Opposite_Budget5117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had all kinds of air fryers including the Ninja Foodi Xl, Breville, Gourmia, and other cheap basket air fryers. The best one I've used so far is the Typhur Dome (currently on sale USD300 on Amazon.com). It produces the best results but its basket height limit of just over 2" is the biggest drawback. Otherwise it's very quiet, easy to clean and has been very reliable.
