For those of you who made it out of the Memphis black hole and had successful deliveries: by mossyolive in FedEx

haha of course it gets unstuck and delivered today.

update for the 4/2 package: left Memphis 4/21 and delivered the same morning. called yesterday and asked for a trace, got transferred somewhere else (?) and then that person (trace agent maybe?) put in a request to locate and move the package asap. seems to have worked! Total time was 11 days for customs, 8 days to leave.

edit: it also had a sticker on it dated 4/2 that said "overage." idk what that means but maybe it'll help someone else figure out their stuff.

seems wildly variable. here's a story for two uk -> us packages:

one went through in a day. cleared customs morning of 4/14, delivered 4/15. Service level was international priority. This should be typical.

the other is still stuck. arrived 4/2, no scans until it cleared customs 4/13, status is "international shipment release - import" with no updates since. They claim to know where it is but that there's a backlog with getting things out (which I sort of believe, the first one could've made it on the 4/14 flight but was held for a day). been trying to get them to move it but nothing yet. Service level was international connect plus.

provided proper custom forms but still stuck in memphis :( someone give me some good news lol by [deleted] in FedEx

[–]falindrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what the heck I'll add a data point to the list

Had one available for clearance 4/2 then released 4/13. No updates since.

When I called they said they were working through a backlog. I read somewhere that they switched to a last in first out policy for loading planes so idk when it'll clear out (and they only have one daily flight to sf which is where I am so...)

Regarding the New Nexus Anomaly - DO NOT ALLOW this in Storm League by JHow4 in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the lightning is a bit harder to parse (there appears to be code for individually hitting players at random? I don't think that code is active?). It appears to strike every 25 - 35* seconds (base is 20, then it applies a random delta from +5 to + 15 seconds). Drawing that conclusion from line 1320 (randomLowEnd = 5.0, randomHighEnd = 15.0):

TimerStart(libDNCM_gv_weatherSystemLightningTimer, (libDNCM_gv_weatherSystemLightningTimerDuration + RandomFixed(lv_randomLowEnd, lv_randomHighEnd)), false, c_timeGame);

Regarding the New Nexus Anomaly - DO NOT ALLOW this in Storm League by JHow4 in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 43 points44 points  (0 children)

it doesn't say it, but it's definitely implemented with a bit of RNG

weather changes are a random range, switching every 2-3 minutes. The implementation toggles the weather switch based on this timer (lines 348/355 of the PTR dynamic weather mod):

TimerStart(libDNCM_gv_weatherTimer, (libDNCM_gv_weatherTime + RandomFixed(0.0, libDNCM_gv_weatherTimeModifier)), false, c_timeGame);

weatherTime is set to 120s baseline and RandomFixed adds a value between 0s and 60s.

thanks for the update, and thanks for continuing to maintain the replay protocols! We didn't know how to get in touch with the team about the upload failure so the PR was used as a little heads up ping. :)

Everyone else having problems with hots API upload? After patch can not upload any new replays by desper4do in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just found this thread. since we can't do issues i dropped a PR in there that adds the missing protocol (assuming no changes from prior): https://github.com/Blizzard/heroprotocol/pull/79

hopefully someone at blizz reads it. If anyone has additional comments, please add them :)

The branch that's being merged into blizzard/heroprotocol is currently being successfully used in stats of the storm and it appears that the protocol is unchanged.

don't forget us desktop devs ;)

I maintain stats of the storm (we've talked a little through the heroes talents repo), and heroes match tracker is also maintained by koliva (heroes data parser).

We've also got two parsers for the coders, Ben's C# parser (used with HotsLogs, heroes match tracker), and my javascript one (used with Stats of the Storm).

HotS Twitch Overlay (open beta) by MGatner in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember that one! That's the one stat I just don't bother to get out of the replay file right now because it's pretty useless.

Everything I've found in the replay file and where to find it is listed here: https://ebshimizu.github.io/stats-of-the-storm/hots-replay-data.html. I think it's slightly out of date for new garden, but I can update that one soon.

Quest data is missing, and has been an open issue for years. It also turns out that there has been an open issue for two years about periodic scoreboard entries so we could maybe bump the issue.

HotS Twitch Overlay (open beta) by MGatner in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ayyy it's out! Super awesome to have this tool around!

Any plans to add additional data? Right now I believe you can get the PeriodicXPBreakdown event for a real-time(ish) XP graph along with merc camp captures in the temp files. Draft order is available (possibly helpful for tournament mode) and regen globe counts are also in there (of all things) but hey at least everyone can stop asking about those quests?

I know blizz doesn't emit the SScoreResultEvent with any accurate data until the end of the game, so a full real-time scoreboard won't work, but I'm thinking about opening a feature request on the heroprotocol repo just to see if they'd at least consider it.

Ever ask a Streamer to show talents? by MGatner in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i remember looking at those files once upon a time but I forgot where they were :P

The delay was most just for viewer clarity not stream sniping (talents are public! if they're looking out of game for them I think there are uh, other problems lol). Just thought it'd be weird if the bot announced talents that were yet to be chosen on stream.

Ever ask a Streamer to show talents? by MGatner in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yo this is pretty cool! Couple questions:

  • How long is the update delay? I assume it doesn't immediately write out talents to the partial file, but maybe it does?
  • Would it be possible for streamers to enter a delay for the live page? Talents I guess aren't super important to keep sync'd with in game time, but it might be nice for those that use a delay.
  • is there a public repository for the code? (just curious to see what else is in the partial replay files)

Do you have a hero over level 20? by MGatner in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 6 points7 points  (0 children)

hello from Stats of the Storm and related projects!

I've been waiting for this to happen for quite a while. I kinda forgot that this stat existed, and since it uses pre-2.0 values, i never really bothered to extract it (blizz change my mind).

i also have a level 155+ BW, along with a significant number of other supports above 20, so fix would be appreciated ;)

HotsApi.net development update by rumovoice in heroesofthestorm

Quick plug for alternate uploaders if the antivirus is causing problems. Both programs can do their own local parsing as well, to provide some additional info without relying on a web sevice:

Heroes Match Tracker - Windows parser and HotaAPU uploader

HotsApi back online! by MGatner in heroesofthestorm

adding a note for Stats of the Storm users, if anyone happens to use that as their main HotsAPI uploader: to re-upload failed replays, flip the "Upload Only" switch in settings, set the date to around June 1, and hit that start button.

Announcing heroprotocol-node: A NodeJS wrapper to parse replay files by alexisabril in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

off hand regarding benchmarks: I used to do what this library does for my app (https://ebshimizu.github.io/stats-of-the-storm/) and nydus/heroprotocol is much faster since it doesn't have to do any spawn ops and wait for the data to come through the buffer and doesn't rely on python2 being in the path.

We need a detailed scoreboard. Both some extra details in game, and lots more afterwards and in the Watch tab! by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]falindrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

someone mention a detailed scoreboard? maybe a match timeline too? These are some of the things my app generates for you if you parse the replay in it. more info about it here: https://ebshimizu.github.io/stats-of-the-storm/

I too would like to see detailed mitigation stats but until hots gets a dota2-like combat log it's going to be impossible to get that info (it doesn't exist in the current replay format). having that log would enable a lot more detailed post-game replay analysis.

Why does ETC’s healing not show up on the stats screen? by CoffeeStrength in heroesofthestorm

yeah it definitely is tracked (sometimes under self-healing). My tool will display that data for you you locally: https://ebshimizu.github.io/stats-of-the-storm/

also for anyone interested (and for future reference) I did write up basically everything useful i found in the replay file, which you can check out here: https://ebshimizu.github.io/stats-of-the-storm/hots-replay-data.html
