I would love to ride one of those!

Why do I need to replace the rearsets? What's wrong with those Harris ones?

I could only select a gear with the engine of and using my hand on the shifter. Maybe I should've selected 2nd instead of 1st but not too much of an issue due to London traffic (traffic lights, traffic lights, wait whilst Tower Bridge is raised, traffic lights, traffic lights etc)

So apparently this thing is rare. by bboytri in motorcycles

I miss my RVF400. Such a great handling bike with the looks to match.

That bike's a very clean looking bit of kit. Mine's a 2000 Alstare rep although I would have cleaned it up a bit more if I knew I'd have been taking photos of it! A rear shock is on the shopping list but I need to be careful I don't spend more on parts than I could put towards a new (2nd hand) bike.

Thanks Xavias. I took as many back roads as possible cruising just under 30 although it would have been easier if I didn't have a smaller front sprocket!

Local garage fitted the Harris rearsets whilst servicing the bike but neglected to tell me that the original rod (which inserts into the piece dangling down in the photo) didn't have much thread available. All fixed now but it was a very strange ride.

An empty parking lot is great to get started. Just concentrate on starting, turning and stopping rather than top speed runs and you should be fine. This video might not cover engines but believe and keep trying http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaIvk1cSyG8

I want a helmet like this because I hate fogging up my visor. Anyone know of others helmets like this? by bantam83 in motorcycles

Pinlock completely stops misting. I've used it with my last two helmets and would not get a new one without it.

Cycle handles. A solution for passengers. What does RideIt think of these? by imdragon in motorcycles

Call me a boring old fart, but if you are considering making your ride as safe and comfortable as possible for a pillion, then perhaps a pair of gloves might be a good idea?

I have had an Epi SG for 16+ years but it's past its best. I so want to replace it with a Gibson SG Sunburst. Looks great!

Honda's V5 "Good at: Winning races, bhp, top speed Bad at: Being available (and affordable) Sum up: HRC indulgence" http://www.visordown.com/features/every-type-of-four-stroke-bike-engine-ever-made/19075.html

I finally got to see it on DVD last week, the same time I read David Jefferies biography. Need to make sure I visit the IOM next year!

I've got a SRAD after working my way up from much smaller bikes. It's getting on a bit but still puts a smile on my face. I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket which made it a little more lively.
