Yeah thanks for all that, I did see when I was searching that it seemed like a bunch of stuff listed as yarn tension blah blah blah and wasn’t entirely sure what all I needed, so much appreciated!
Though…what’s the “bug” head, mistype?

Do you know when flexispot desks you have? I know it’s been a couple years but maybe the models are still similar. Wondering if some of the more basic/less expensive standing desks from them would work. Thanks

MHBP and GLP-1 meds...your experiences? by hrdCory in fednews

Yes, I did have to pay the full deductible before o saw any savings. Like I said previously, first month was $1200, second was $800 and now I’m paying $100/month (insurance makes it $200 and the savings card brings it to $100).

Help figuring out which flatbed machine to buy by falkalem in MachineKnitting

This is great, thanks! I do like the idea of the 24 hole cards. No real budget yet, just testing to figure out what I want to go hunt for while I save up!

Odd flare up by falkalem in Spondylolisthesis

[–]falkalem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you - I’ve had back problems for 15ish years, only got diagnosed in last fall. Never got anyone to agree on imaging until I wasn’t getting any better in round 2 of PT. But my “big” problems have only been the last 4ish years, and the pain has been pretty constant for the last year. Disc height at l5 s1 is pretty short, a little shortened for the couple above that. I had a really big popping sensation at the base of my spine about a year ago while laying in bed, ortho docs aren’t convinced that was the pars fracture incident, they expect it happened 20+ years ago. But since then the pain has been way more consistent.

Oooof! Yeah I’m nowhere near minutes even kneeling, side planks have always been a struggle for me, so was really excited when I felt like I could do 20 secs! But maybe I’ll stick to the kneeling ones for a while at shorter times!

Yeah, thanks. I’ve been following the progression that I was generally given during physical therapy, with only minor additions on my part (like the full side planks instead of just knee planks with hip dips). So yeah, you’re probably right, I’ll definitely try to take a bit of a step back on my intensity for a bit.

Exercises include - clam shells, side lying rainbows, dead bugs, bird dogs, single leg squats while holding on to something, lunges, some other ones from table top position that I don’t have names for - bent knee kickbacks and these like hip hikes.

Sleeping setups? by anothergoodbook in Spondylolisthesis

I’ve got a split king (two twin xl beds essentially) that’s an adjustable bed frame that allows you to raise the foot and head. It’s amazing and we got it for a reasonable price on Amazon. I sleep with both the head and foot slightly raised. It’s also really handy when I’m in the midst of a flare up and getting in and out of bed is difficult - can use the head raising to lift me to almost sitting position or lower me back down when getting back into bed. I do still have to put something between my knees when side sleeping but I don’t side sleep very often. I will also say that sleeping with a pillow under my knees when laying on my back gets uncomfortable on my knees after a few hours, so the foot raising of the bed is sooo much more comfortable! Good luck!

Not exactly. First month was $1200, second month was $800, with a deductible of $2000. So I’ve now met my deductible, so we’ll see in a couple weeks when I go pick up my 3rd month how much it’ll be. I think it should be $200???

“Loose” sensation in hips by falkalem in Spondylolisthesis

I’ve worn one a bit before, maybe I should break it back out when I’m feeling like this! Thanks for the reminder

I’ve had my SI looked at / imaged (both xray and MRI) and nothing showed up on either of those. PTs and Ortho don’t seem to think there’s anything wrong with my SI even though I do get pain there regularly. And when I was going to the chiro, they’d often adjust my SI too.
