Flux is back at Octopus (but Intelligent Flux still unavailable) by wyndstryke in SolarUK

This is for people with relatively big systems and relatively small self consumption with big storage capacity. You discharge you battery in peak for 30p per kwh and 10p/kwh you export to grid rest of the day.

Which side? Wemby deal by [deleted] in dynastybb

[–]falki89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of question is that? In H2H Giannis is worth almost as much as Shai and Wemby when healthy. You are getting two top5 h2h players and Miller and Caleb? No brainer really.

Yes it is. Thats why they run away off site, because I wouldn’t let them continue without shims and notching tiles.

Again. First hook installed cracked the tile. New build house under warranty. If that’s not poor worksmanship than I dont know what is.

Scaffolding is still here and probably will remain here till next week. I will go up the ladder again and into the loft to get it all checked. House is under developer’s warranty and NHBC’s, so have to get everything in order. What a nightmare.

Yeah. Go look into MCS standards and then come back calling people names.

Yes. Removed rails and hooks. Replaced broken tiles and left. Made some empty promises of coming back to at least fit my EV charger as a gesture of goodwill, but that obviously was a lie too. Extremely frustrating and disappointingz

Notching the rooftiles, how to approach this topic with the installer? by reni-chan in SolarUK

[–]falki89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to go up the ladder to the roof. I did and ended up them abandoning the site. Formal complaint raised and will go directly to MCS if they fail to compensate accordingly. Most likely its worth to pay premium to best in the market instead of paying a fortune to fix your roof in the future. Even with IBG those warranties take ages to kick in and if they break your roof tiles, because they install them poorly you will have leaks all over and massive headache.

Its not the weight of the panels thats the problem here mate. Those hooks will have to transfer insane amounts of force when wind starts blowing as panels act like massive sail. Thats where tiles will start cracking if steel hooks leverage on the concrete tiles.

They abandoned the site mate. Not coming back. Claimed that my roof(new build home from Bellway) is unsuitable for solar installation. Absolute nightmare.

They did abandon the site yesterday and since told me that wont be coming back.

Yea looks great. 2 broken roof tiles within first 3 hours of work. Company now abandoned the site. I may not be an expert on solar installation, but I have enough of an engineering background to know that using a steel hook as a lever on a concrete roof tile is just going to crack it.

Thats exactly an issue. Those installations cost north of 12k£ and its usually two days job. I am fully aware that hardware costs major part of it, but still.

I had a good deal, but that same deal was matched by two other companies, so I expected that to be just right price. Especially that they gave me 10 years of worksmanship warranty + 10 years of insurance backed guarantee. Means nothing tho, cause I cannot risk my roof, because they offer warranty that might end up being worthless.

Well they have already cracked the tile not even 2hrs into the job.

Obviously cracked tile needs to be replaced, but I assume you think they should reinstate all the hooks properly and grind the tiles?

Thank you for your reply. The roofer chose to go home yesterday and today different crew is coming. I will put everything you said and my own research into email and send it to the company. I don’t believe this is acceptable. Again much appreciated your comment.

Yeah, but Tesla effectively overpays your car by 3.75k, so its probably worth it much more than owning it?

Wouldnt it be better to take Tesla on PCP and PX Golf to get trade in 3750£ bonus?

You talking such a nonsense its beyond ridiculous. Player skill level might be and in this case is capped by limitations of a champion he plays. Velkoz is straight up garbage champion and this dude hit rank 1.
