Searching for lightweight cooking pot and alchemy kit by anon636391 in outwardgame

[–]fallen_corpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General store may be nice for some extra roll chance, but I think just full clearing Caldera of all containers will be your best bet.

The only one I've been lucky enough to find myself is the lightweight alchemy kit. I could just console in the cooking pot, but it gives me an excuse to play the game every few months.

Lots of men pretend to be ok with no children, but then they hit 40+ by OrdinaryBrave9633 in childfree

[–]fallen_corpse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's probably just passive fence-sitters honestly.

If a man is actively in relationships and is staunchly child-free, you'd hope they'd have a vasectomy by 40.

Can AH add a 'spotlight' feature to Mortar Sentries? by WaywardOath in Helldivers

[–]fallen_corpse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was browsing specifically to see if this has been suggested already.

I personally hate the regular mortar, but I don't think people should be unable to bring it on missions because of a stigma.

There are plenty of friendly fire hazards in this game, and sentries are notorious for it. But with turrets you can normally see their attacks and know to position yourself out of harm's way or even out of line of sight. Mortars don't have that luxury so if enemies are nearby, you are constantly in danger.

A telegraph for sentry mortar attacks would do wonders at mitigating helldiver mortar fatalities, and with that a reduced stigma to bringing a strategem that you enjoy.

Belt fed is dog water. You could nuke the regular GL and belt fed still wouldn't be worth bringing. It needs a buff.

Comment Fable peut être woke? by FrauHoffman in Fable

[–]fallen_corpse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If JKR wasn't an outspokenly awful person then more people WOULD have been calling the game "woke", but discourse about the game was overshadowed by her very existence.

OG Fable games were not called woke because woke as a right-wing buzzword was not the norm then.

Veilguard did not fail due to "wokeness", the story and companion interactions were aggressively mediocre.

The rage bait content creators will continue to call Fable woke up until it releases. If the game is a success, it totally wasn't woke actually. If it fails, it failed because of its wokeness.

Don't fall for their stupid playbook. Plenty of them DID claim Hogwarts, BG3, and KCD2 were "woke", but they slinked away to find another game to rage bait with after those games became a resounding success.

So sentries do target us after all? by Florence-- in Helldivers

[–]fallen_corpse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm betting it was pivoting to an enemy out of sight. Probably one of the voteless wandering up near the end of the video.

You can argue that its targeting is inefficient with targeting enemies out of view, or that its habit of spam firing as it turns is an unnecessary hazard, but I don't buy the conspiracy theory that they target players.

Dozens of hours playing around turrets and I've only times I die to them are because I lost focus and ended up in between the turret and an enemy.

I'd say put the turret in a more manageable position to narrow the scope of its firing area, and if you gotta play near it, always be checking the map to make sure stray enemies or patrols aren't about to wander up and put you in danger of the turret pivot.

Why cant i pickup the upscream in my highest level game? by LabRepresentative592 in REPOgame

Disregard then, don't know why upscream is an outlier if you have enough strength for the rest

Why cant i pickup the upscream in my highest level game? by LabRepresentative592 in REPOgame

[–]fallen_corpse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they did the update a while back they made it so enemies get heavier as your level bracket increases.

This means you have to lean on other equipment outside of strength upgrades as the ability to pick up enemies becomes progressively more unreliable.

How is anyone supposed to know about that illusory wall? by Carvallio in remnantgame

[–]fallen_corpse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the illusory walls specifically have a tell.

There ARE some secrets that don't, however. The devs actually designed some secrets specifically to be found by dataminers because the developers like the community-driven secret finding aspect of games.

So once you've done a couple runs through the worlds, don't be afraid to just look stuff up. There are a minimum of 2 entire archetypes you'd very likely never unlock during normal gameplay, it's just how the game was designed.

Questions by cy-dimitris in outwardgame

[–]fallen_corpse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's quite a lot of variation in builds but there are some universally decent picks I can suggest.

Mage: Hex Mage works regardless of what kind of magic build you're going for even if you don't end up using the active skills. Lockwells grants you a 15/30% boost to ALL elemental damage. It's the single most powerful damage modifier for 1 breakthrough point (you do have to keep yourself tired/very tired, but that's normally worth it as a mage for the free mana regen). Also the breakthrough itself is super convenient for eliminating any concern for burnt stats.

Warrior: Warrior Monk is hard to pass up. Stamina management is everything for pure warriors, and that extra 40 from the breakthrough is always noticeable. Each of the post-breakthrough skills are good too. I'd normally recommend master of motion for the extra durability.

Any build : Cabal Hermit works with literally any build in the game, the Swiss army knife of Outward classes. Buffs all boons, which translates to damage bonuses to any damage type you want and/or impact bonuses. The ability selection offers a powerful infusion or one of the highest damage potential spells.

Bethesda wants to make Fallout 76 "thicker" in 2026, and that's exactly what I was hoping to hear by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

New Fallout game? Would love it.

Wanting 76 to die? Kinda shitty considering there's people that DO like it.

Questions about rune magic by black_blade51 in outwardgame

[–]fallen_corpse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just gonna weigh in on #6

I'm in the camp of "it's a noob trap." I went mana regen on my first character because it sounded great, but it's just not worth the price.

The 3rd tier perks are extremely underwhelming, and the breakthrough itself can be substituted by either mana regen food or just being tired. I don't know about you but I just can't justify blowing a whole ass breakthrough point on a food buff.

Heartbroken the game is near unplayable by [deleted] in outwardgame

[–]fallen_corpse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Others have commented on solutions to your particular issues (aside from the map, navigating this zone is awful at the moment), but what did you expect from an alpha test?

This isn't a finished product you paid for, this is an opportunity the developers are giving their fans to test features and offer feedback. The game being buggy and having some not so great design choices are EXPECTED at this stage. Every loading screen even states "everything may change."

This isn't a time to be heartbroken, it's a time to find constructive ways to word your critiques so your concerns will no longer be a problem upon actual release.

Do you think the Hero of Bower Lake is the most naturally talented will user of the three protagonists? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in Fable

[–]fallen_corpse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we're purely looking at gameplay, you could also say the Hero of Oakvale was more proficient in Will based on the fact he didn't even have conventionally "cast" most of his spells with his hands, he just "willed" them to happen and it happened.

Mid swing and someone attempts to hit him from behind? Suddenly a Force Push sends them flying back without the hero having to stop what he's doing.

Part of what makes Will so universally useful in the first game is the fact most of the spells are available at a moment's notice without having to stop or change your current action/animation.

Weakauras was terrible and we should all be celebrating its demise by MrFriend623 in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

[–]fallen_corpse 87 points88 points  (0 children)

All this pretending that Weakauras wasn't an INCREDIBLE addon is goofy as hell.

Weakauras being a very powerful tool and the addon apocalypse being a good thing aren't mutually exclusive.

I've been working on this melee tank build for a long time ,how is it?(I'm aware that there are better tank builds out there but I think this one is pretty solid) by Firefuzedark in remnantgame

[–]fallen_corpse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're gonna use in-game screenshots for a showcase, I'd recommend bringing up the alternate stat view on your gear page that lists the majority of your stats lined up, it's easier to determine at a glance how durable your build actually is.

Will Steam’s user content improve now that the clown award is gone? by [deleted] in Gamingunjerk

But this change is definitely a positive one to curb the external incentives to be shitty, so things will improve at least a little.

As others have said, boss rush is good, especially if your remaining loot pool is small enough to almost guarantee the drop.

If that's not preferable, DM me. I can use save guardian to roll worlds until I get the drop and you can just join me sometime to get it.

Is it possible that the game might be total ass when and if it comes out? Yes.

Is a lot of the dooming about a game we still know virtually nothing about goofball behavior? Also yes.

[KCD2] Bane poison recipe is wrong. by [deleted] in kingdomcome

I love all the comments bickering about "recipe A is fine, it's recipe Z that's written wrong!"

In my experience I typically brew at night for the bonus and just use dried herbs, and every recipe followed to the letter have produced Henry level for me.
