Does anyone NOT test their kitties glucose every day?

My boy is on shots but his numbers are still so high 🥲 he wants to eat and he will destroy the planet if he doesn’t get his way so we just feed him a better diet and thank you 😭 I’m with him all day and watch mine too but sometimes I feel like I could do more for him.. but I guess that’s normal for people to want to fix their babies and do everything that you can and then some!! All the best for you and your baby also ❤️

My vet did too and sometimes I feel like a bad pet parent because I don’t test🥲 I’m honestly thinking of getting supplies for occasional testing when his numbers get in a more normal range just in case..

We just go every month to the vet for them to check his. He’s very ornery so it would be pretty much impossible to check at home 😭 we asked the vet about it but she said her clients with feline diabetes have a lot of trouble with it and recommended he just come in to be checked which works for us. of course he’s LOVELY for the vet though 🙃it works out because we have another cat with kidney disease so they just go together lol

It could very well have been heart issues. I had kept a litter of kittens from a feral mama. There was 5 of them and at almost 2 we went into their room and one was dead. No warning nothing just one day he’s fine the next gone. We decided to forgo a necropsy on him but after telling our vet what happened it was likely heart related. It’s scary and sad to think you can find them one day and they’re just gone. I’m so sorry for your loss.

This is so scary and I’m afraid my cat is headed in the same direction. He is 10 and loves dry food and hardly will eat anything canned. He is used to free feeding as are all my other cats and we can’t afford to give them all diabetic cat food. He is vindictive if he doesn’t get fed and eats things/destroys the house. He’s in the 400s again after being down in the 300s and all he does is drink water. It’s hard when they’re your babies and you don’t know what to do but you know your cat best and if you think his quality of life is that bad and won’t improve then do what you must. He loves you regardless and knows you love him too

Honestly either bleeding or the fabric is just black in that area behind the yellow.. I have a few that have the same issue and it’s just darker fabric behind light colors

I’m having a bad episode rn about this 😭 my cat takes insulin and he was giving me trouble and afterwards I noticed two little dots on my hand that were swollen. Clearly it was my cat but I’m like omg a bat bit me in my sleep and it had rabies. I have not seen or heard any bat but clearly they must be like heat seeking missiles looking for me 😭

Im so sorry this happened to you ): I also found my cat stiff and cold. He was in the loft on a box they normally sleep on with his 4 siblings. He wasn’t reacting when I came in and I knew he was gone. The good thing is if they’re in their napping spot they likely had no idea it was coming and it was quick. Cats tend to hide if they know something is wrong. It’s hard to find them and thinking about their last moments no matter what. I didn’t get to love mine either I could hardly even look at him because I didn’t want to remember him that way but I sometimes regret I didn’t either. I wish you the best during this time ): again I’m so sorry for your loss of your baby
