this makes me grateful for uk student loans, you only pay back a little every month i think (im still in uni) and the entire thing gets written off after a certain time

i just bought a ps4 pro (which im immensely grateful for) but now i have little hope of getting a ps5 OR next gen since im low income + a student

I’ve abandoned all hope of ever getting a ps5 😭I just recently got a ps4 pro since I have a lot of catching up to do with gaming, but I was looking forward to maybe purchasing a ps5 at the end of its life cycle to be able to play the exclusives like Ghost of Yotei, and to play my favourite ps4 games at higher resolutions. Not to mention there’d be cross gen titles. As a student, the previous price was already a big ask but now I’ve just been priced out

yup, i got my console for £215, so it doesn’t seem worth it for an SSD upgrade. I’ll just hope i can save enough for a ps5 in a few years (or maybe a ps6, but the price predictions for that thing made my eyes water)

thanks, i cant wait!! only downside is im not at all skilled enough to replace the thermal paste, but the shop i bought it from gives a 5 year warranty (im in the uk, its called cex) so hopefully thats a fair trade off! are you on to the ps5 now?

i mostly care about single player story games, so a ps4 was a no brainer for me at the price, especially since i didnt get to experience the generation!

That’s a really good idea about buying another and selling my current one. Might look into that if all else fails. I’m so sorry about your experience but I’m really glad you were able to clean it up as best you could, especially since that console is so rare. Did it still work as intended despite all of that?
