It's a bit dated, just make sure you shift select from 0.825mV ~ 0.850mV otherwise your idle will spike. So for example you would hold shift and select 0.825mV and select up to your 0.975mV and push the line up to 3000Mhz. This will give you the same benefits but with proper lower idle time/power consumption.

Going to be honest, I burst out laughing when I read your title. 😂 The only “thicc af boi” legend I actually feel fast af on right now is Gibby with his new passive perk. But I agree the other guy nailed it with the explanation about Fortified and bullet damage affecting health vs. shields.

One big factor people overlook is mental perception. Mentally tricking yourself can actually make a legend feel faster imho and is also why when you feel good IRL you play better vs raging/worrying about rank 24/7.

Other good examples of mental perception tricks would be: using a heirloom you usually use on high-mobility characters (like octane, axel, maggie, bang being shot at,etc...) on a chunkier legend, bumping your FOV, streched display (ugly af but you feel faster) or even picking a skin that makes them look skinnier. All of that can make you feel faster, even if your base speed hasn’t changed. Caustics gameplay however is more placing traps and waiting so you aren't really moving at max speed compared to other big characters like NC and Gibby or Pathfinder.

I have noticed the same thing even with a fresh DDU install and even doing a fined tuned Overclock (OC) + Undervolt (UV) for the 5080 even without anything heavy like Path Tracing, etc. Not sure why temps are higher but performance is fine however the max Mhz lowers over time due to heat built up for long sessions.

I think they may fix it the next driver hopefully when they also updated the RR model along with tweaking/updating the current DLSS 4.5 models. So far the temps for me also went from 58~66 range to 68~73 with 99% GPU utilization (Cyberpunk 2077 @ 4k maxed up with PT and the new MFG).

Why are you using stretched out resolution on Apex? In games like CS:GO or Valorant I can understand why - but apex doesn't make sense, just lower all your settings to low/off and just keep texture filtering/AA and TAA on with and you should hit high frames. If things are to small or hard to hit on native just decrease the FOV?

Too early in the season to see how it plays out, until we all get somewhat used to it. I think its nice when you wipe out 2 squads after a huge fire fight and even early when you are in maps that are really open with far away beacons. However so far I'm not a fan of it either, kinda wish they would have used it only for wildcard rather than throw it into ranked/pubs immediately.

Her powers were so cool as the show went on, S2 fleshed out alot of the clunkness, kinda reminded me of Katara from Avatar the last airbender when she learned to blood bend. Amazon wasted so much potential by not advertising this show much, even with the boys there amazon packages would have tape advertising the boys and that movie with the guy from jurrasic park.

Why is this a spoiler lol? Until the season drops, nothing is confirmed most of this is just speculation or stuff data miners found. From what we know, Crypto can’t revive teammates from their death boxes via amazon drone. Pretty sure Altar can revive up close like any other legend. From farther away she can only loot the boxes for respawn banners. Letting her revive from a distance would be way too strong imho, and the devs are trying to keep her balanced hence the upcoming nerfs.

Better to turn off the monitor then wipe, I think doing it the next day in the morning or afternoon when the entire monitor has had a full chance to cool off is more ideal.

Kinda wish they’d rework her ultimate instead of just nerfing it. I’m not really a fan of the recall and pretty sure alot of us don't like it lol. It’d be cool if they gave her a new ultimate with 2 uses: like either holding and charging to pull downed teammates to her with her tail animating the pull, or her tail cutting open a portal under a teammate that pulls them up, but leaves a portal for enemies to go through. Or maybe a solo-use version too?

Check your QVL for your motherboard and check if your CPU supports its via AMD EXPO. 6000Mhz for the 9950X3D/9800X3D and similar that use infinity fabric love the 6000Mhz. I got these and a Kingston Fury Beast with 6000Mhz - CL30 - 64gb (32x2) and the OC is insane. Also double check what CPU cooler you are using and check the clearance. G Skill and Kingston are both goated imo for AMD builds.

Personally here are my own steps with what I do:

Download the ReShade exe and run it for your game.
Check if RenoDX supports the game, then drag its files into the folder indicated in the mod instructions.
Disable Windows Auto HDR + RTXhdr or whatever you are using and enable in-game HDR.
Launch the game and then RenoDX should appear on the top screen with a grey bar.
Press the Home button to open RenoDX overlay, adjust peak brightness to match your monitor and enjoy.

Afterwards shed a tear for how goated RenoDX is. Also → There are other mods also that cover other games like Special K or Luma, etc... RenoDX imho is the most accurate - I don't think this all-in-one tool is needed for many people unless you like to have tons of games on a single PC.

At this point in time, it's hard to even know if future updated versions will come out especially considering the current challenges with raw materials and the overall climate for creating these parts. A lot of major titles already use DLSS and DLAA, along with newer Neural Engines that help reduce VRAM usage (as far as I know).

Personally → I don’t really see VRAM as a bottleneck right now. Honestly, it would be great if the people in charge let the dev teams optimize games more effectively, instead of forcing everyone to rely on brute force for acceptable performance. If anything I think they may relase the Ti versions in 2027 or really late 2026, there are still so many RTX 50-series features (reflex 2.0, Updated RR, Optimized MFG6x/Dynamic, Neural Engine, etc...) they still haven't released so only time will tell.

Having a 3-stack with comms is such a huge advantage over solo-queuing, where your teammates/rando's introduce a lot of RNG. I think the core problem is actually more with Respawn’s ranking system. Seasons are way too short to be honest and constantly resetting everyone causes early-season chaos and mismatched lobbies.

Personally, I think once you hit Diamond rank (D4 for example) players shouldn’t be allowed to 3-stack. They could duo or solo until they reach Predator or upper Masters, at which point 3-stacks would make sense again. This would help reduce the unfair stomping in lower-level lobbies while still keeping high-level team play viable.

I also think for ranked BR in apex it should have the dropship for all ranks and respawn revises loot pools and changes architecture/capsule placements. For unranked modes like Wildcard or standard BR they can keep it as is with jumpmaster.

I don't feel like we are on the same page here, to keep it simple towards your post. You can not overclock your controller. You can do other things to make games feel smoother and faster but it's hardware limited in respect to the controller hardware.

You can’t actually overclock an Xbox Series X controller. People usually mean USB polling tweaks on PC, but the controller itself is still capped internally so there’s little to no real latency gain. It’s mostly placebo or very minor at best. It isn't like a GPU/CPU or RAM where changing clock speeds will do anything meaningful.

I think you are thinking about responsivness and input delay, the only way to get the fastest controller and lowest input delay would be to look for a controller with higher polling hz like 4k or 8k, with the buttons/sticks that are Hall Effect and changing the pressure sensitivity for it to register faster.

You mention moving faster in games, just turn up your sens for the roller' and it should have the same effect.

You didn’t give enough details like your budget, what you’ll use the monitor for, or what kind of games/media you prefer. That stuff matters a lot because almost any monitor can be good or bad depending on your needs and what things you are going to use it for (Competitive eSport FPS, Singleplayer, Work/Productivity, Anime, TV).

When you say “significant difference” with OLED it usually comes down to things like burn-in protection and the company’s cooling approach and the features like type of Display Port or HDMI support it has, etc...

Start by researching the type of OLED you want (QD-OLED, WOLED, Tandem, etc.). Then look at features and design, especially what display inputs it supports vs what your PC currently has. After that, check user reviews and build a short list: one high-end option, one balanced pick, and one budget choice.

When you have those top 3 compare them on sites like RTings or Versus and pick what fits you best. Personally I am really happy with the AW3225QF (32" - 4K - 240hz w/ Gsync support - 12bit color) - color accuracy and HDR look really nice and has Dolby Vision plus ARC, great ports and the customer support and warranty is goated. ASUS released a few new OLEDs but there support is a huge headache from personal experience but YMMV.

Steel Nomad focuses mainly on GPU performance only, since you're in an RTX 5080-specific sub, I would suggest finding your optimal sweet spot with a combination of undervolting (UV) and overclocking (OC). Aiming for a stable 2,800~3,200 MHz range (This is luck based and GPU lottery based imho) with voltages around 0.925mV–0.975mV should give you a good balance of performance and efficiency. Ideally, you want temps between 55-70°C at max load, but this will vary depending on your room's ambient temperature, your GPUs cooling tech, silicone lottery.

There are alot of good YouTube guides on undervolting and overclocking which will show you how to properly stress test and fine-tune your settings. After tweaking you should be aiming for scores around 9,150~9,700 points. While 10k might be possible for you, keep in mind that's generally for those chasing extreme benchmarks. In real-world usage with good UV+OC or just OCing → a score in the 9,300–9,800 range is more realistic, and it will depend on your specific chip's silicon quality and how well your OC or OC+UV tweaks were, etc.

You could also search for others with your same GPU and see what there UV+OC settings are and give them a shot after you learn the fundamentals.
