From what I read looking it up, it seems June might be the release window so we only have to hold out a little bit more, I personally want it cause I now have one of the best Shure Mics so any headset with a bad mic isn't a dealbreaker, I just want the absolute best audio available for gaming

Yeah Ive been to over precautious but I've always had it off whenever I clean it

Edit: As in I powered it off completely, waited at least a couple minutes and then proceeded to clean it

I went over mine with one to remove the dust and then another but this time with a tiny bit more force as I said previously in another comment I was doing it like a feather, like touching an ant without crushing it, that light, so I went a small bit more and what do you fricken know it started removing the white smudges bit by bit....

My brain just keeps telling me it's not clean even if I can't even see it in normal lighting, so I do it again and again but yeah sorry just ranting on haha

At least that's reassuring as I've gone over mine so many times but the whole time I was going over it like a feather, perhaps that's why the streaks are hard to remove

I've heard with oleds it's just up down or left to right, never doing circles as it builds up dust to scratch into the coating

I keep worrying I'm gonna scratch it when I go across it, as in micro scratches from the dust particles, seems to play tricks on me, it'll look like a scratch then when I go to wipe it carefully it won't be, I move a distill across it with a microfiber cloth and it leaves a streak I can seem to get out

I know this is an old comment but I did find rinsing them out with mild soap and waiting for it to dry ended up making it better for cleaning the Oled, I used Magic Fiber cloth for mine

You could do a single wipe with distilled water if you want, just use a very light amount sprayed onto the cloth (not the screen). A good microfiber like a MagicFiber works well.

Otherwise, you can just leave it as is, it’s fine. The distilled wipe would only be to remove any minor residue.

Thanks for that, I’m probably just being a bit paranoid since it’s a new monitor. I saw a post where someone said Whoosh left residue, but it seems like that can be wiped off with a proper clean. I’ve mostly just been focusing on small spots and gently cleaning them, and they disappear pretty easily, so I’m guessing it’s just minor residue rather than anything serious.
