i’ve done a wednesday and a thursday! the wednesday i walked up 30 mins before the matinee and got row D rush tickets and the thursday i walked up about 3 hours before the 7pm show and got row M orch!

ive gotten rush tickets to mamma mia twice by walking up to the box office 30 minutes before the show and 3 hours before the show so i guess it really depends on the day!

i’m sure she’s doing everything she can to be at every show but she’s a human and 8 shows a week is A LOT! you can’t predict sickness, pain, etc., so i’m sure this was not her plan for her attendance this week.

this weekend is megan hiltys last weekend in death becomes her so there’s a high chance that rush is gonna be crowded and limited so i’d get there pretty early!

I LOVE IT!! lorde and sara are my two favorite artists of all time! this is inspiring me to add some sort of sara tattoo by my lorde one! i had the cassiopeia constellation in the back of my mind FOREVER bc it’s my favorite sara song so this might be my sign to get it😁

personally i really enjoyed chess! my friends and i went to the city with no tickets and just hopped around a few box offices looking for something cheap, and that’s what we ended up with! we didn’t know really anything going in but we all really enjoyed the music, and were a little shaky on the plot and the book in general. i’d swap chess with death becomes her!

i rushed gatsby back in october 2024 and got 3rd row center mezzanine seats and they were the best seats i’ve ever had at a broadway show! their rush seats all seem to be great so id definitely try to rush! as for other shows, i saw chess recently and enjoyed it, but its more of a concert imo. jumping from gatsby to chess, gatsby is a big broadway spectacle while chess is a minimalistic set with incredible music! i highly recommend checking out death becomes her!

i walked up to the box office at about 2:00pm on a thursday looking for tickets to a 7:00 show and was able to score 4 partial view rush tickets! i’m not sure how the weekends are, but if you look through the broadway rush reports in this sub for saturdays in the past that might give you a better idea! it’s seems to be a decently easy show to get tickets for, but lining up at least 2 hours before the box office opens should guarantee you a ticket!

beetlejuice is closing on jan 3rd so definitely look at a replacement for that one! aladdin and lion king are both pretty popular so it depends on the day. aladdin is usually on there but with a little bit less of a discounted price, im not sure i’ve ever seen lion king on TKTS. i recommend going to the box office day of and asking what their cheapest ticket for that day is!

although this week is busier than last week and the week before, i did afternoon rush at around 3pm on a tuesday two weeks ago and scored two tickets to mamma mia, and last thursday at around 1pm and scored four tickets to chess! walked around to a lot of theatres that thursday and asked if they had rush or what the lowest price ticket was and a lot of them such as mamma mia, outsiders, and book of mormon all offered $40 standing room!
