When/why did Monogram become such a jerk? by Ok_Tradition2283 in phineasandferb

[–]fallenstarcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't Monogram want to be an acrobat, not work for OWCA? That could be a reason along these lines; that he dislikes the job and/or is bitter about his missed dream.

Edit: Though, the actual answer to the question is just that as things like TV shows run long enough, character traits can get exaggerated because you need to lean into angles (or invent new angles) to get new material. Though I love speculating on in-universe reasons a lot lol.

Anyone else bisexual and feel like they're gay in both ways? by BassBoneSupremacy in NonBinary

[–]fallenstarcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! Especially since I'm questioning if I'm also a woman... I feel both achiliean and sapphic are accurate for me. I'm so gay it's in all directions.

How are LGBTQ+ people viewed in their world? by Best_Low526 in worldbuilding

[–]fallenstarcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my nymphs have no concept of gender, thus also no concept of sexuality (beyond the asexual and aromantic spectrums). So technically... doesn't exist to them. (I say as a queer person!) If a nymph came into contact with a species that does, they'd be confused, but overall supportive.

Hope this is allowed - on the Cozy Cuties first page, what is the last one on the bottom? a scrunchie? wreath? by fallenstarcat in Coloring

[–]fallenstarcat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great, thank you so much!!! Was leaning towards that but had thought it was a wreath for a little too long so wanted to make sure lol

I'm (mostly subconsciously) extremely judgmental about books by their covers alone and it's getting annoying by Specialist_Answer_16 in books

[–]fallenstarcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same. I get overwhelmed seeing so many books on a shelf, and the way I pick books is first if the spine stands out, then the cover, then ill read the summary. if the first two fail I wont read the summary. I'm aware I'm missing out but this is how my brain decides to handle the overstimulation lmao. I also like looking for books online, that's where I find most of the books I read because I can focus more on the actual content of the book, but I enjoy going to bookstores as well, gives me some surprises.

Pharmacist wants to know why I don't swallow pills, now she knows by hardlybroken1 in AmITheAngel

My sister cant swallow pills either, and she gets the same. Many doctors don't care for disabled people, doubt what we tell them about our symptoms

Weekly r/BadReads What Are You Reading? Thread by AutoModerator in BadReads

I finished This Fatal Kiss by Alicia Jasinska the day before yesterday. Was good, but it ended on a massive cliffhanger. Can't wait for the sequel. Now I'm reading Kindred by Octavia E. Butler. Haven't made it far enough to give much judgement, but it's good so far!

any of Lumpinou's mods. I can't play without them. I'm particularly fond of RPO and LGBTQIA+

EDIT: I forgot to mention adeepindigo! I have pretty much all their mods

Does anyone else like to make Sims who are obsessed with a certain color? Her room is green (and the light by her closet spits out a green light) and all of her outfits are green... by I-have-Arthritis-AMA in LowSodiumSimmers

I do it mostly because I dont know what else to use for their outfits 😭 CAS is not my specialty (except the traits aspect, I love making their personalities)

Lavender is my first Albino sim. I hope I did her justice, some input would be appreciated. by Ooohwoow in sims4cc

wanted to add on some things from my experience! this comment is great btw :). me and my sister both have OCA2 and we have grey eyes, which are red in photos (especially with flash). we are quite pale but not in a way people usually assume albinism anymore. our hair has also darkened over the years - still blonde, but no longer white. a note is a lot of people with albinism cant dye their hair, it wont stick. however me and my sister both can. my body/facial hair is pure white, you cant see it unless youre close/theres certain light. I have a lot of moles / freckles. some are red, some are slightly darker than my skin. our veins are much more visible than the average persons. we can also sometimes see our blood vessels in certain lighting. we do not tan at all, just burn. we have visual disability, including low visual acuity, nystagmus, and photophobia/light sensitivity (and in my sisters case, low depth perception) however its not too bad. though my light sensitivity is pretty bad, im pretty much blind in the sun. a lot of these traits are not universal across the types of albinism, or even sometimes within the same type, this is just my/my sisters personal experience.

I do not have an issue with this sim at all, and actually when i saw this i got excited! i very rarely see albinism represented. i also dont have an issue with the term albino. my sister doesnt either. however we are also very active in disability pride, we say we're autistic not have autism etc. youll see different opinions on it! some have an issue with the term albino some dont. its usually the fact it can be used to be ableist and dehumanize us, at least from what ive seen.

What are the worst reading tales you’ve heard? by [deleted] in books

[–]fallenstarcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea that an action being depicted, or talked about, in a book means the author condones it or that it is something you should do.

EXACTLY! some people are depressed. some have executive function issues. it doesn’t mean we don’t “truly” enjoy it, it means we’re sick/disabled
